Hey All -
I'm finding out a few things reading these boards and thought I'd share my preparations PRIOR to doing to WDW with three kids and my husband for four days of MAGIC!

FIRST: I found DISNEY fanny packs at a local thrift store for $2 each!

SECOND: I bought bottled water to be frozen at the hotel and brought to the park (saving How Much? - we'll find out) *note* still looking for those bottle holder straps though.

THIRD: Heard that they sell light up stuff at night during parades and such. So...I bought those GLOW necklaces at TOYS R US for $1.00 a piece - one for the two Nights we'll be out at dark!

FOURTH: Cheapy, folded, rain gear (like those rain bonnets you get at the pharmacy for a buck)...and I put one in EACH fanny pack in the event of rain. I'm sure these are pricey at the parks.

FIFTH: I bought each of my children a disposable camera (B1G1F) at a local grocery so they can have their own memories.

The only thing I've not purchased are Mickey Mouse t-shirts which I intend on getting at BELZ outlet outside of the parks.

Buy those disposable cameras at Wal-Mart, and you'll probably get an even better price. A Fugi outdoor camera is $3.97 and flash is $5.97. There are usually $2 off coupons in the Sunday newspaper the beginning of each month. I have two $1.97 cameras setting on my kitchen desk right now. And the Fugi cameras even take better pictures than the Kodak ones!

I wasn't able to find the bottle straps anywhere but at the park. I went to the Wal-Mart on Hwy. 192 and when I asked in the sunglasses dept. they looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. They were only $3 at WDW so I bought them there.

Yes the Disposable cameras are GREAT! But a word to the wise: I have been working at a photo studio for 2 years now and 1 thing I would HIGHLY! recommend when you want to purchase these is to only buy the cameras that are from Film companies. In this case you will know what you are buying. If you don't I promise you the film inside is in most cases not even worth the effort and you have no way of knowing how old it is let alone the quality in the first place.

BONUS!! Tip Before giving the disposable (which is called a 1 time use camera since they recycle them and put cheap film in and black tape to be used again by the cheap not known companies) you pop open the camera (AFTER it's rewound totally) and get the batteries. You will be surpised at the top name brands you find in Fuji and Kodak cameras:) :D

Just a quick tip - write your name on the disposable camera with a black sharpie - an absolute necessity if you have more than one child - and very useful if you set it down somewhere and someone else sets down the same kind. I started doing this after I ended up with half a roll of someone else's pictures. It's also useful in case you lose it (like maybe forget it somewhere) - otherwise it may show up in lost and found but you'd never be able to figure out if it was really yours! You might want to add your resort name also.

I read somewhere on this board to put address labels on all disposable cameras and film canisters. THis way if they get lost not only will you have a better chance of picking them out at lost and found but after a certain time frame WDW will mail it back to you.

Thanks for noticin me.

Hmmm - now you've got me nervous.
I bought my disposable camera's from Bi-Lo which is our local grocery store. It has a flash - 28 pictures - and was $5.00 (B1G1F).

I'm wondering if I should return them and go get the outdoor Fuji from Wally World?
Any advice?
