Kouzzina isn't open for lunch, that's why there aren't ADR's available. In the Boardwalk area, there's the ESPN Club and the Big River Grille, which aren't that diva-like, if that's the basis for your ADR's!

Personally, I'd recommend Beaches and Cream. They don't accept ADR's, but it's the most adorable little restaurant and they have AWESOME desserts.

Thank you! Well, that explains why I can't get an ADR! I thought I read a lunch menu for Kouzzina, but I've read so many menus that they're starting to meld together into one giant Disney foodfest.

The atmosphere doesn't matter much...it's all about the food, for we shall make it Divalicious by our mere presence! Beaches and Cream sounds yummy and perfect and will make a nice break from the park, especially since there are EMH that night.

DBF and I LOVE Beaches and Cream. I would just recommend trying to eat at a slightly off-hour, since it does get crowded around normal mealtimes (and after Illuminations). It's a VERY small restaurant, so it fills up fast!

So, thanks to an unforeseen mishap that I won't go into details about, we bid a fond adieu to our CR reservation. Suffice to say that everyone is OK, and downgrading to a moderate is a very tiny thing compared to what could have happened.

The trip is still on, we are now staying at Caribbean Beach, and Erica is completely OK with it.

But get this...when I called to make the change, they couldn't find my reservation. I was looking at it on my PC and gave them the confirmation number, and she still couldn't bring it up. She kept saying the only thing she had in my name was a travel agent reservation, and I'd need to have the TA make the change. I felt like I was watching all the money I'd paid fly off to Neverland with no hope of recovery! But she kept pushing buttons until she showed the system who was boss and found the reservation. Angels sang! Smiley faces did jumping jacks! Little blue guys did this: and banana men danced!

Anyway, everything is paid in full; and the overpayment will be put on our KTTK to be used for dining and shopping.

Crisis averted.

All's well that ends well.

Please let this be the last hurdle I have to jump over!

Too bad about changing the CR reservation, but I'm sure staying at CBR will still be a lot of fun. I always think the moderates seem pretty nice, too.

I like the Castle collage- the clouds and the blue sky make the Castle look amazing.

I like the moderates very much. I had originally chosen a deluxe just because I wanted to be as divalicious as possible! But whe life gives you lemons, you stay at CBR and love it!

Thanks...the sky was SO blue that day that it made the Castle even more magical. I only took about a million pictures of it...to go with the bazillion I already have!

I'm sure you guys are going to have just as divalicious a time at CBR!! I've stayed there once and I remember really enjoying relaxing on the beaches there in the hammocks, the atmosphere there is really fun and tropical!

I think you're right! We've both been bitten by the photography bug, and I'm sure photo opps around the resort will be everywhere. You guys will be bombarded with photos...consider yourselves warned!

Yesterday Erica and I began playing the ever-popular "This Time Next Week" (TTNW) game via facebook and text. The rules are simple: determine what you'll be doing TTNW and post/text it. Some examples:

7:30 a.m. via text (me): TTNW you'll be on the plane headed south...buckle your seatbelt!

8:45 a.m. via text (Erica): TTNW Nanny and I will be looking for food in Charlotte!!!!!!!

10:45 a.m. via facebook (me): TTNW I'll be getting in the car to drive to Orlando!

12 p.m. via facebook (Erica) TTNW we'll be squealing and hugging and jumping around like crazy people on a Disney high!!!

6:30 p.m. via facebook (me) TTNW we'll be sitting down to eat at Grand Floridian Cafe!

7 p.m. via facebook (Erica) OMG! TTNW we'll be wearing tiaras!!!!

Hmmm...I wasn't aware of the tiara plan.

But I'm completely OK with it!

You get the idea. This went on until about 1 a.m. when I went to bed. This morning, I found the game continues.

9 a.m. via text (Erica) TTNW we'll be at Kona! OMG TONGA TOAST!!!!!

And so it goes!

Needless to say, the excitement level is high and predicted to go higher!

So, now that I'm done planning the Divas trip, and our October trip is in a planning lull, I have no choice but to start thinking about another World excursion.

I'm addicted.

On Thanksgiving, I told my cousin's daughter that I'd take her to BBB for the princess treatment for her birthday on February 1. She's turning nine and wants to be Rapunzel. Since then, one day at DTD has started to expand into a long weekend that includes lunch in Norway and a stay at AKL. (Does every kid want to stay at AKL? Well, duh!)

The Princess Jaden's Party crew (so far) includes parents, grandparents, a couple of college-age cousins, me and, hopefully, Gabriel.

A nice bonus is that Jaden's grandparents are picking up the tab for the resort and meals in exchange for my mad planning skills. Suh-weet!

I've always wished I had a little girl to do BBB for...and now I do! I'll go into super-planner mode after Erica goes home...it'll be here in a flash!

Preliminary introductions of Jaden's party crew. I have a large extended family, and Jaden is the youngest (universally adored and unapologetically spoiled rotten by all of us), so this group will most likely grow a bit. The following photos are brought to you by "Jaden and Aunt Lauri's Fun with Photobucket" on Thanksgiving. (She calls me aunt even though we're second cousins or something. )

Introducing Princess Jaden and her royal court, which consists of mom, Jane, and big sister, Jaime!

Next, is Darrell, Jaden's dad. I thought it was so sweet that she thought of this photo by herself (OK, maybe I nudged her). She's a huge Rapunzel fan!

First off, I love your writing style!! Soooo hilarious! I appreciate all the fabulous stories you have to share!

I hope your knee is doing better!

And I do have to say that I'm slightly (code for green with envy) jealous that you get to go to Disney so often! My DH and I went this past summer and I can't wait to go again! Although I'm probably looking at a few years before we go back Oh well, I can live through folks like you!
