Before Park Opens - Crystal Palace or CRT for Pictures?

Hi!

I am hoping someone can help me out. I am booking an early morning reservation at MK before the park opens. I have done this on previous trips with Crystal Palace and my family loves having the park "to ourselves" and it is our favorite time to take pictures.

Both Crystal Palace and CRT have openings on the morning we want to go. We have never been to CRT and do want to go this year.

Based on picture taking opportunities only (not quality of food, costs, etc.) which is the better reservation to have? Is there any advantage to being at the castle before the park opens, (is it a calmer time to get pictures outside, or with Cinderella, etc.) or is it really no different than having a reservation at Crystal Palace?

Is there anyone out there that has eaten at CRT before the park opens that can share their experience?

We've eaten at both CP and CRT prior to park opening. really no difference for taking photos. For us the nice thing about CRT was we happened to finish right before rope drop and my DD was the first to get onto the Dumbo ride as she exited the castle right before it opened! She loved that!

No difference for photo ops, you can move around the area and snap all the pics you want a little while before your reservations.

We've been there once before opening for a BBB appt. I don;t think it makes any difference. Having an early ADR just gets you into the park early - but most of the areas of the park are still roped off so your photo opportunities are really mostly going to be on main street. No one walks you to your restaurant or anything so you have the exact same access/photo opportunity regardless of where your ADR is.
I would just pick which restaurant you prefer to eat at!

We're doing out of pocket this trip so i figured it was a good time to eat at CRT since I don't it's a good value at 2 TS credits. I made a 8:15 ADR on a day that the park opens at 9:00 for your same reasons.

Thanks everyone! I picked CRT since we haven't done it before. Now I have to decide (like the PP did!) if I should use the dining plan or pay out of pocket. This day was our only chance to be in the park early - every other day we are there it will be open at 7am for EMH! YIKES!
