Before I call

Ok, I have my calendar with the variety of dates we can go...really it is more a matter of a couple weeks that I cannot go.

I have figured out how much it would cost to stay 5, 6, 7, or 8 nights at about 4 different resorts with my 40 percent off at both regular and value season.

I also know how much 5 to 10 day just basic tickets would cost for the 5 of us.

So... now I call. What do I say? Should I say, I am looking at coming such and such a week, what is the best deal you can give me? Then are there any other deals for any other time? Should I do this before mentioning my code? We are really flexible, so we will probably go whenever they can get me the cheapest rate..

Any other tips? Also,... I am probably going to do just a room only deal so that means that I give them one night's deposit and that is refundable up to 6 days before the vacation. Do I have that correct?

I would call armed with my number one choice.

"My PIN number is:___ I would like 7 nights at the Poly for the dates XX-XX." If that's not available, try #2.

The best deal you can get should be the ones you've already priced out. The 40% off won't change how they line up, just the actual prices.

I guess I was looking at the threads of the best deal people ever got and people got some fabulous rates at Poly..165 a night or one person got a week long package there for under 2000. Anyway, most of the time it looked like the person on the phone looked and found some special deals for them, so I didn't know if I should try that first. They weren't sure how they got those extra special deals either.
