I got notification from our title compnay yesterday (Mason) that our closing was finalized on our new SSR contract (yay!!). I went to look up our deed on the Orange County FL site and it is not up yet. I was told that documents confirming the closing would come by email, but haven't received them.

Is this standard? We never got copies of the contract signed by both parties, and weren't informed when the sellers signed either. So, I'm worried that we aren't getting information we should be getting.

Can y'all more experienced folks help me make sure I'm getting and/or ask for what I should have?

Thanks!

It's not instant. I think it's a couple or few weeks. You'll either get an email with an attachment or perhaps a letter. Mason, I think, does emails.

They definitely could do a better job proactively informing people about the process. In my experience they just start doing everything like you know all the details.
I think less than 1% of buyers know where these things are filed. So informing buyers might just create confusion for the other 99%.
