I know I've read about getting refills on mugs somewhere, I just can't seem to recall when/where.

Does anyone know anything about this and can tell me $$/where to get them?

Thanks

No free refills.

I am not even sure they do refills at a discounted price anymore.

I don't believe they do not do any refills anymore at all. YOu used to be able to buy a "Yard" of beer at the R & C and there were reduced refills. They did away with that several years ago.

The discontinuing of the 1/2 yd refills for half price really annoyed me. I was told it was not a Disney decision. Unsanitary - possible contacting the tap with the used beer "glass". Guess that doesn't happen with refillable mugs at the resorts??????

You CAN buy reusable plastic beer "steins" at some of the countries. However, I do not believe they will refill them, so you can't get a better price next time around. The problem with sanitation is that they do not want to allow used receptacles into the service areas (they would have to be taken behind the bar by a cast member to be refilled). You can refill the resort mugs but only if you do it yourself at a refill station. If you have to ask a cast member to refill the mug (like at Beaches & Cream or the Boardwalk Bakery), they will not take the mug behind their counter to fill it. They will give you a cup of beverage and you pour it into the mug if you want it in the mug.

Besides, we did the comparison of the "refillable" mugs and it wasn't all that great. AND, you had to carry around the containers (not something you could easily tuck into a backpack) all day long. We did it once when it was offered and quickly decided it wasn't worth it. And we are VERY cheap people. You are not missing anything.

I stayed at CSR in Sept. and at the pool restaurant they would take your mug behind the counter, rinse it out, refill it and hand it back to you.

Then that's the only place I've heard of that they will do this. We were passed cups at the Boardwalk Bakery in December.

They did this in March at the CSR pool area for us also.
