Beer @ Disneyland or CA?

Can you get a beer at California Adventure some where? Is there a beer garden or something? I'm leaving PA Sunday night, I hear it's raining out there.

Yes, I do believe you can get beer in DCA. I am just not entirely sure where. (I got a margarita from a stand near the Mexican food place and the Pacific Wharf Cafe, I believe it is called.)

There is a beer "cart" on the wharf. The cove bar may be another place to find it. Disneyland park is dry, so no alcohol there, expect if you are lucky enough to be able to dine at Club 33.

The Beer Cart(truck) is called Karl Strauss Biergarten. They have a few selected handcrafted beers they offer.

We've frequented the beer cart many times during past trips. DH and I love to sit on the Pier, relax and have a beer sitting waterside, while enjoying the sights and people watching.

Some advise regarding the BEER CART! When we were in CA 2 years ago we were a group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids), my brother went to get the beer while the rest of us got the lunch. However; he learned they will only sell you as many beer as adults are with you sitting at the table (being in line for food does not count) As my brother was alone he could only buy one beer, as the adults came to the table, he could go and get them a beer. We thought this was one way to limit people from possibly over indulging.

There are few things I consider myself an expert on when it comes to Disneyland, but when it comes to drinking beer at DCA I am your go-to gal!

There has recently been a rule change at the Beer Truck, and each adult with ID can purchase two beers at a time. Our last two trips, October and December of 07, this was the rule. It was so much better for DH and I, because we used to lose our table when we'd get up to get a second (or third ) beer. That really stinks when you've got a good seat! Now one of us is the beer runner and one is the seat saver!

However, we prefer to go to the Cove bar when it's open for our brew break, and here's why... They serve the beer in frosty glasses, rather than neon plastic! For us beer snobs that makes all the difference! Plus they have fabulous hot wings and lobster nachos!

Another place that has not been mentioned is Taste Pilot's Grill. This is the perfect place for groups that have a mixture of beer snobs and good old domestic beer drinkers, and tetotalers (sp). They have a Karl Straus handcrafted beer, a Domestic Light draft (don't remember which brand), and chocolate milkshakes!! What more could you want! Not to mention yummy food!

From what I read on a different board, they are definitely planning a beer garden in the future at the renovated Paradise Pier area (to the Victorian-era theme).
It says:
"Removal of Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Burger Invasion, addition of Beer Garden. Mullholland Madness re-theme, Orange Stinger re-theme
Project Status: To begin late 2009
Open Date: Unknown. By 2012"
