Had a look at the menu at Citrico's recently. Offered as "specialty" beers--Bud and Miller Light.
Oh dear----

Oh my, Uncle - what is this world coming to?:confused3

Talk about the "dumbing down" of the menus at WDW - wow!

It is sad.

I asked for a somewhat standard drink at the bars - a Midori Sour.

2 bartenders looked at me like I was crazy and asked what that was.

You shouldn't bartend if you don't know drinks.

The bars at Disney are becoming sad places.

To be fair though, in addition to a # of the other "usual suspects" (Heinekin, Corona, Stella) they do have Sam Adams Seasonal, Wild Hop Organic, and Windmer Heffeweizen.
So fortunately when we dine at Citricos in December, at least I'll have something to choose from.

Wow! If Budweiser is "special" in any way, shape or form, then bow down to me because I am the Queen of England.:lmao:

Good one! If only they HAD Tusker at Citricos.
At another WDW spot, Amstel Light is listed as a "premium" beer.

While we're on the subject--I see they still carry Hatuey at Bongos. You guys should at least try that. It's in the Corona "family", with a bit more bite to it. Hard to find though--
And one more observation--the menus on our site now have more beers, wines, and "specialty" drinks listed than ever before. Nice to see that--.

I always think it's hilarious when they list Sam Adams and Killian's Red under the imports. :rotfl2:

You know...Boston (by way of Missouri , Pennsylvania, and Ohio) is LIKE another country compared to WDW.

And Killians went from being brewed in Ireland, to France, to....well, I don't know where Coors brews it now but probably Colorado, or some place equally "foreign". :)

We knew it was the beginning of the end when Norway replaced their foreign beer with Budweiser.

Best one I've seen (not a Disney World) was a place selling Rolling Rock as imported and charging extra for it. I guess Latrobe, PA moved to Canada or something.

My DBro still cries about this if it is brought up and we frequently observe a
Ringnes moment of silence when passing through Norway. ;) We try to keep it more toward the start of the drink around the world then the end. We don't want another incident. :P

Well, at least you can still get Bass Ale and Guinness on tap at R&C even if a pint costs more than a six pack. :drinking1

Their bartenders live extremely sheltered lives it seems as well. A pp mentioned they couldn't get a certain mixed drink. Last time there I ran through 3 or 4 drinks before naming one they knew, and none of these were extravagant.
