Been to V&A lately??

Well, we have the Chef's Table reserved for 11/27. My DH has his heart set on Carmelized Banana Gateau. It was on the menu in May. Anyone been recently and see this/have this?? It comes with a giant sheet of spun sugar leaning on it.

DH is NOT a big sweet eater but has proclaimed this the best dessert ever, anywhere, of all time.

Also, if you've been to the Chef's Table, are desserts a small sampling of each or do you choose one?

We had my birthday dinner there on October 13th and my mother in law ordered the carmelized banana gateau. Hopefully, you will still be in luck next month! I had the chocolate combo---tanzanian chocolate pyramid, hawaiian kona souffle (fantastic!) and peruvian chocolate ice cream and puff pastry.

This was only our 2nd time dining there. We went in May for my hubby's 40th. We actually had the same pair of servers and they were terrific as always. Have a wonderful time!

I would suggest calling V&A and requesting the dessert. It might or might not be on the menu, and this way you can put the odds back in your favor.
