What a way to start off the trip with a bang, we LOVE LOVE LOVE that show, it is so magical and just brings everything we love about Disney to life!
Then we headed to Toontown, it was Lauren’s goal this trip (and I have to admit, one of mine too) to meet the Fairies in the new Fairies exhibit. We got to the tent around 9:50 and the wait time already said 50 minutes, YIKES! Well, Lauren and I were bound and determined to wait, Tim and Luke on the other hand took one look at the wait time and didn’t want to have anything to do with the 50 minute line their first morning in the Magic Kingdom. We parted ways and the boys went to ride some rides while Lauren and I were in fairy land.
The line went by quickly. I actually considered us fortunate because people were talking to the CM’s in line and they were telling them that the average wait time is THREE HOURS to see the fairies, YIKES!!!!
This is such an amazing exhibit, and the CM’s working it are amazing. Lauren truly believed she was the size of a fairy as we entered the fairy world. I was like a mad fool trying to hold the camera to take real pictures and take video at the same time. I’ll post the pictures first and the video I took at the end (sorry if it’s bumpy I was SERIOUSLY multi tasking while trying to experience it with Lauren all at the same time.
The first fairy was Iredessa (o.k. I realize I may spell these names wrong but I’m doing my best):
She was AMAZING and later Lauren said she was her favorite. She took SO much time with Lauren talking with her and interacting with her, so very very sweet. Here she is admiring Lauren’s pins with fairies on them:
Here is some of the interaction:
So cute how she was hugging her as she was signing her autograph book:
Lauren also loved her because of her sparkly gold eyelashes : )
Then it was TIME FOR TINK!!! I gotta tell you, I was like a big kid here too, so excited to meet her. Boy oh boy did she live up to expectations.
Here is the video of Tink

Lauren was a little nervous when talking to her, nervously fidgeting with her pins:
Tink taught her how to pose:
Then I got my sweaty self into a picture with Tink too:
Next up Rosetta, she was super sweet too. They just spend so much time interacting with the kids here:
Then we excited the magical door and were back to our normal sizes and went on with our day, WHAT AN EXPERIENCE, a highlight of the trip for Lauren (and me) for sure!
I called the boys, they had ridden Goofy’s Barnstormer and headed over to Frontierland and had ridden Haunted Mansion and were on the streets of Frontierland dodging the heat. It was SO super hot that day, heat index of 107!!! Tim was really feeling sorry for Luke walking around in the heat and he was complaining about it so they had stopped for a much needed snack and water break, we joined up with them. After we cooled off a bit we headed to grab Fast Passes for Splash Mountain and to enjoy Pirates of the Carribbean. Lauren, again had a fit at first when we entered the ride, she was screaming it was scary. Tim took her by the hand and explained the ride step by step and she calmed down.
Luke entering the ride:
I always attempt photo’s of this ride, but without the flash they never turn out. Here is my Jack Sparrow attempt:
Feeling very “piratey” (if that’s a word) Tim and Luke started swashbuckling in the store:
And then Tim…………….. well…………………..uh………………………found some hand cuffs : )
And he put them on Luke : )
Did I mention how HOT IT WAS THAT DAY! So the kids enjoyed the Tiki Sprayers for a bit:
Tim decided to join in:
Well, then, like I have said before, it was just so stinkin hot that we were looking for something to do in the shade. I went with our theme of “we’re going to be here so long, let’s experience something new each day” and suggested the Swiss Robinson Tree House:
