Been on hold w/MS for 40 min-should I hang up? HELP

What is the deal? Do they have one person working on Saturdays?!! I called the 407 # maybe I should try the 800 one or will hanging up put me in a worse situation? Can some of you DVC Vets please advise!!!:headache:
 
I called right at 1:00 today, using the (800) number and waited about 7 minutes.
 
How late are they open today, perhaps I will have better luck later in the day because everyone is calling when they first open? :confused3 But I am calling for a day by day change so I'm concerned and wouldn't want to miss out on the reservation.
 

Did you get through? Last Saturday I called at 1:00 and waited about a minute. I called the 800 number.

Sometimes it's like that! I am on the 800 # and have a "25" minute wait.

SOmetime I wish it was Marriott and you could do everything online.

Keep in mind the 11 month booking window puts people booking right now for the Holiday 2007 season. I would expect long waits on the phone over the next several days as well.

Well after almost an hour :scared1: I finally hung up and dialed the 800 # & the recording said I would have a 20 min wait. Well after the previous phone call I couldn't deal w/waiting any more than that! At about 18 mins into it someone came on and I was able to book what I needed:wizard: I would say that from now on I'll be calling the 800 #!!
 
Today was the first sucessful Saturday call I made. And it for a 7 month day-by-day ressie, not even Christmas!

I got very, very lucky, 2 rings, and a helpful MS-Advisor. Back on Monday for the last 2 days.

With this exception, for me Saturday calling has been painful at best.

I waited over 40 minutes one Saturday, the Sat. of MLKjr. weekend. I felt it was something I needed to do. I did the survey and did say it was "totally unacceptable" wait time.

I called today and dreaded having to make the call. I have been on long holds lately. I have handled 4 transactions by email. I made a reservation and banked points by email. In one of my emails, I stated that I had been on hold for long periods of time. Did they let people go or have we grown this much?
 
Well the 11 month window puts you right in Xmas/NYE booking right now. That could be the problem, but I think Dumbo will jump in here and suggest it might be the day by day callers, which might be heavier than normal considering the booking window.
 
Yes, It probably is the Christmas rush. I am not complaining, just have a flat ear. My MS rep was so helpful and I told her so. She said," that is what we are here for."
 
Kimberth, I called for Turkey day ressies and it just happened to be a Saturday. Called right at 1pm and it has been the longest wait I have ever had with MS. Thank goodness for speakerphones!
