It this true?! I finally decided on the Poly over the GF for Sept 2011 and now I am second guessing myself. Should I switch? I hate second guessing myself! Please help!!

I honestly wouldn't worry about it. People are much more likely to post about a negative experience at a resort than a positive one. Go ahead and enjoy your trip; if something comes up, address it w/ the proper management at the resort. Have fun!![]()
I noticed the food in the hallway thing too! Totally takes away from hotel appearance but I guess can happen everywhere they have room service. We were there in August. We had some room issues but nothing that could be fixed during our stay. One thing we did notice as soon as we walked in was the fingerprints all over the sliding glass door. We had a theme park view and they had the curtains back for us to see the castle when we walked in. Well the first thing I noticed were all the smudges. Our housekeeping was good while we were there. We did a split stay first half GF, second half Poly. I thought the GF was in better overall condition. Like the beach better at the Poly. Like the rooms better at GF.
It is said ? the problems re the Poly is MANAGEMENT issues. the place needs cleaning and and refurbishing to say the least. I won't stay there till these problems r resolved.![]()
We've had 2 Poly CL stays in the past few years and didn't have any problems with cleaning. As someone said, all of the resorts can have reports of not clean rooms and perfectly clean rooms. It's best to pick the resort based on other criteria (theme, price, etc.) and if you get a room that you feel is unacceptable, ask to be moved or ask to have it re-cleaned.
As for the trays in the hall, it is my understanding that it is not housekeeping's job to remove them. I believe they prefer that you don't put them in the hall at all, but call back to room service when you are done to have them picked up from your room. Or if you must put them in the hall, call room service at that time and let them know. Especially at a resort with separate buildings like the Poly, or the far off wings of other resorts, I think they just don't get seen by the right people because I don't think that's normally what the housekeepers do. Just for future reference for all - I agree, I hate seeing a bunch of stinky trays in the hallway.
