Been bragging about these boards..Help me get my coworker a great rate!!!

I have been raving about these boards at work and now a coworker wants me to help him get a good rate next June 2004. There will be 8 of them, 5 adults and 3 children. He wants to stay on property and does not want multiple rooms. I guess a 2 bedroom villa is the answer and Old Key West seems to be the least expensive. He is willing to buy an AP. I do not have one yet, so I can't check AP rates. Does anyone know about how much it would run for that time period? Any other suggestions are welcome!!

AP rates for next June won't be out until sometime next year, probably in the Spring. So, unless he wants to wait that long, the only other cost saving measure is to go to the Rent/Trade board here on the Dis and rent ponts from a DVC member. This usually can save a bit of money. Also, AP rates on DVC resorts are usually hard to find, and if available go quickly. An AP rate for a two bedroom would be around $400 per night including tax. Now, if you rented points, I don't know how long they would stay but it would cost:

Staying June 1- 10

A Sunday - Thursday night 27 points per night
A Friday - Saturday night 64 points per night

Staying June 11 - June 30

A Sunday - Thursday night 30 points per night
A Friday - Saturday night 73 points per night

DVC points usually rent for $10 per point, so just figure out how many nights he'd stay, and then which days that falls on to figure out the points required. Add them up and multiply by 10 to get the aprox cost.

He may be a bit nervous about renting points as there is a chance of losing his money. I know everyone says to get a contract and stuff, but he may not be comfortable doing all that. Hopefully, renting thru Disney will be within his price range.
