Been a while since we have been and all they had was premium sites next weekend. Will someone please tell me the benefits of the premium sites again and what about wi-fi? How do you get it?

Premium sites are typically longer and wider. So I guess the benefit would just be extra room for your RV or camper.
As far as WIFi goes, I have never used what is available at the Fort as I have a MIFI card.
However, if I remember correctly, it is like $9.95 for each 24 hours of service.
I would speak to the CM at checkin if you are interested.

The two biggest things were all concrete and they moved interferences and widened the entrances so they are much easier to back into. The biggest disadvantage is those picnic tables have to weigh 500lbs:confused3 and are almost impossible for one person to move.

David,

There have been in the past reports of free WIFI on the porch of Trail's End. It is not all over the campground.

Try it at TE and let us know if it works.

There is WiFi at TE and maybe near the Meadows TP. Both cost the $9.95 to log in. Campsites and cabins use cable modems, also for $9.95 per 24-hr day. As I understand it, cabin modems are built in, but campsite modems have to be checked out at the check-in desk.

I recently bought a Verizon MiFi modem/router, so am independent of the Disney charges....but captive to the Verizon charges. I got my device for about $25 after discounts and coupons and pay $50 a month for 5GB of access. Never came close to using all of it, but the salesman said movie watchers or gamers might. I have had VERY good service at the Fort.

Although i have had a few dropouts at home, MiFi is more reliable than my NetGear router and ATT DSL line, especially at night. I am still evaluating whether to drop the DSL and use the MiFi exclusively. We are not movie watchers or gamers.

We get the cable modem from the front desk and then attach it to a router so we can have wifi in and around our RV. It can get a little slow sometimes, but it is better than nothing!

I use my Verizon cell phone as my modem and hook it right to my laptop. It's an additional $20 for 2GB per month for me to do that. I can add and cancel it right on line. I use it when I want it and cancel when I don't. Some cell phones can't be used as a modem so you would want to call your provider to see. I have never had any problems with it and it's reasonably fast. I check email and Facebook. Uploading photos is slow with it but I just wait till I get home to do those anyway. I have never gone over the limit of 2 GB.

I bought a Virgin Mobile Mifi device at WalMart for $139. It is a pay-as-you-go service. When we went to the Fort in August I bought a 30-day unlimited pass for it and the kids used it in the motorhome all the way there and back to Pennsylvania and while we were there. I think we hit one dead spot on the highway in Virginia for about 20 minutes.
