Beef Broth vs Consume

Can anyone tell me the difference between consume and broth? Also, are they interchangeable in recipies? Thanks, Jo

hi! consomme is a clarified broth. basically, its a "clean" broth. I've always used cans of broth and consomme interchangeably. consomme has a better/richer/cleaner taste. hope this helps!
