Bee Gee's, Maurice Gibb undergoes surgery, **Updated**--He just passed away

How shocking, and tragic. That family sure has had their share of heartache, with brother Andy and now Maurice.

I'm in shock...

I saw it on Sunday Today, I couldn't believe it!

The BeeGees have been a favorite of mine since the 60s, I've loved everything they've done! Barry was my favorite, and I was so thrilled that Robin had my name!

I can't believe the pain the family is going through. What a shock... Andy was sad enough.

Wow- thats too young to die! It just doesnt seem right that something like that (intestinal blockage) should kill someone if they are being treated.

He also died where I was born- Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami Beach, Fl.

I am very sad to hear this. I have been playing one of their CDs in my car since Thursday. I also have a former student who collects BeeGees stuff--I wish I could find his EMail, I'm sure he's devastated.
53 is very young.

Unfortunately, this is also how my Mother died 6 years ago in February. She also had an intenstinal blockage, and suffered a Heart Attack later. Very Sad day today, for the Gibb family. He was also very young, at 53.

I heard the news on the radio this morning while getting ready for church. I am deeply saddened by his sudden passing. The Brothers Gibb had a unique sound and Maurice will be sorely missed.
