Just heard on the radio that Bee Gee, Maurice Gibb, 53, passed away from a heart attack while trying to recover from his surgery. No online info available yet. 12:30 AM CST 1/12/03

I've been listening to the Bee Gees music since 1967 and this is a very sad day. My deepest sympathy goes to Maurice's family and also to Robin, Barry, Lesley, Barbara and the rest of the Gibb family.

This is so sad... I just heard about the surgery yesterday but to hear he passed away is terrible... The BeeGees are an incredible group.. with awesome talent.. So sad, that poor mother will be burying her second son far too young..

Sorry to her that news. It is quite frightening that he had to have emergency surgery for a blocked intestine & then that lead to this.
