I have read a couple people say that the beds at the Polynesian are bad. Can anyone who has stayed there recently comment? And also can a 13 year old fit comfortably on the day bed?

Thanks!

I stayed in concierge almost two years ago (so it wasn't recent), and found the beds uncomfortable. I've had MUCH more comfortable beds at other resorts. I also slept on the daybed a few nights, it is large enough for an adult, but uncomfortable and would squeek everytime I'd move.

Stayed there last year in a garden view room and thought the beds were quite comfy. Im not east to please either. The day bed seemed to be as wide as a twin just shorter. More room than sleepin on a couch. Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Poly in Oct. of 2001. I thought the beds were really comfortable-course that may have been because I had a queen bed all to myself. MY dd slept on the day bed, and thought it was very nice--wanted one for her room at home.

We have been to the Poly a few times and i have never had a problem with there beds. I did notice last yr they had put a padding between you and the matterice (sp?). So maybe others have complained but they always have seem quite comfy to me.But i like firm bedding.

We stayed there last April, and the beds were very comfortable! Umm, about the day bed thing, I think he'll probably be able to sleep on it.

We just returned from the Poly on Monday and both my husband and I commented on how well we slept there. I don't know if it was because the beds were so comfortable or because we were so worn out by the end of the day. My husband took a nap on the daybed and thought it was pretty comfortable and he's a big guy. I think a 13 year old will fit fine and I remember when I was 13 I could sleep anywhere! Have fun!

I didnt notice anything unusally good or bad about the beds, but I did notice the pillows. They were wonderful! :)

Hello: We just got back from the poly 3 days ago, and the beds were great, pillows were great, hubby has back troubles and had no trouble.
This is from people who pay the extra money for the famous beautyrest pocket coil bed for hubby's back. The day bed was a little squeaky, but fine too.

I've stayed at the Poly 3 times. Last being las August. I have never had trouble sleeping in the beds. The daybed as well was comfy and was liked by everyone that has used it... from child to adult.

During our stay last year at the Poly we had no problem with the beds where fine. Our 12 year old son slept on the day bed and had plenty of room.

The last time we stayed at the Poly my DS was 16 and he had no problem fitting on the daybed. It is about the size of a twin bed.

We love the beds at the Polynesian. I find them very comfortable.
