please can you tell are if there are any bed rails and can they be use for adults in all star music resort

Each resort has a number of bed rails available. You can request them on check in or by calling housekeeping from your room. I don't know what would be different in a bed rail fora child vs an adult so I cannot specifically answer that question.

The child bed rails are not moveable once installed...They are installed by housekeeping and are the type that are one long piece designed to keep a young child from falling out of bed. They don't raise,lower,or slide to let anyone in or out of wharever side of the bed it is on. They are not designed for use to help you stand or for pulling or pushing on for a persons stability

If there is something available for adults and they are different than what i have described make sure you make it very clear that's what you want.

I can't speak for the specific child bed rails available at WDW resorts, but typically these are approx. 36-48 inches long.

I'm not sure of your exact needs, but if the bed rail is for an adult who needs assistance to get out of bed rather than something to keep the person from falling out of bed, you might look into renting from a medical supply company. Care Medical is a featured provider who will deliver to WDW resorts, and I have also read some good reviews from DISers who used Orlando Medical Rentals.

I don't see weight limits on any of the kids rails that I've looked at online, but some specific for ages 5 and under. So depending on how likely you are to roll and put full adult weight against the rail, I'd hesitate to recommend a product intended/designed for use by children.

The medical supply companies may have something for you. It's hard to see specific products on the Care Medical site, but the Orlando Medical Rentals site indicates a "hospital style bed rail." Or maybe you can explain to them what you use at home so they can offer something similar. Good luck!

That would depend on the time of day when you requested them, and how busy the Housekeeping staff is. During the day, they would likely have them in your room within a couple of hours. Later in the evening or at night it could be much longer, since there is only a skeleton staff.

It sounds like the ones Disney has wouldn't work for you. You really need to look into renting them from a medical supply company. You don't want to end up hurt because one fails and you fall out of bed.

I'd suggest asking your question on the disABILITIES board. I'd bet that the good folks who hang out there will know of companies in the Orlando area that rent supplies to guests at Disney resorts.
