Bed rails on Disney Magic

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know how good the bed rails on the Disney Magic are at preventing toddlers from falling out of the bed. My child is 2 and a half years old and I was thinking of having her sleep in a bed with the rails instead of the pack and play. She currently still sleeps in a crib. Thanks!

I could use this info as well. We are cruising with our 2.2 year old granddaughter in 3 weeks and she hates a pack n play and won't sleep in one. We had ordered the bed rails when we made our reservation (and a diaper genie) and hope they will keep her from falling out. She currently sleeps in a crib.

Did you order double rails? That would cover the whole length of the sofa bed. Plus, even if she was able to fall out, it's only about 2 feet to the carpeted floor.

No, didn't think to order double rails. I am not really worried about her hurting herself if she falls....more worried about her waking up from the fall and not going back to sleep LOL!

Did you call DCL to request the bed rails? I tried to do it online, but it wouldn't allow me to request the bed rails because our daughter is under 3.

We have been able to get bed rails without any difficulty once on board... we requested them on different ships-on the Magic, Fantasy and the Wonder and received them each time. Such lifesavers!

I am going to ask for a a second set once onboard (that is what you meant by double rails, right Shmoo?)

The DCL rep during the booking process asked us if we wanted a pack n play or bed rails.
