Vendor Reviews

I’m not going to rate the Disney aspect since I feel it is a conflict of interest since I am a Cast Member. I will say that I was really happy with everyone I worked with and my mom plans on writing a very nice letter about how much she enjoyed working with Carol and everyone at DFTW and Epcot Events.

So on to the people that I will review:

Patricia LeJeune –
I simply love this woman! I had an amazing time talking with her at my hair trial a few weeks ago and had just as much fun on the wedding day. I felt really bad because I didn’t follow up with her about timing. To be honest I didn’t really understand what the timing needed to be anyway. I sent her an e-mail the day before the wedding giving her my room number and letting her know the timeline that Carol had presented at the rehearsal that day. Her husband Randy got the e-mail at 6am the morning of the wedding and ran upstairs to tell her she needed to go right then! She had me down for 8am to be done at 11am but since Carol said to be in the lobby at 11am and my photographers were arriving at 10am she rushed over and arrived just after 7:30am. I loved the way my hair and makeup turned out and I could not stop telling my MOHs how gorgeous they both looked! The only thing I didn’t like was I suddenly realized I had dark circles under my eyes after the cake cutting. I think if I had done a make-up trial I would have not had her put anything under my eyes, but we fixed it and looking at pics it doesn’t even show up.

Becka and Nate were awesome! I felt bad when I arrived back at work yesterday and had 2 messages from Becka on my voicemail from the morning of the wedding. She apparently only had my work number. She ended up having to be connected to the room from the lobby to get directions. They were lots of fun to work with and I am really excited to see all the photos. We were all sad when Jeff and I hopped into the towncar to head to Epcot and Nate and Becka couldn’t come with us! We got our CD of engagement photos two days before the wedding and I was sooo stoked after looking at them all. Here are a few I haven't posted:

Rev Luther Kistler –
The sweetest, funniest pastor I have ever met! He did our friends SBP wedding in October 2008 and we loved him then so we decided to basically copy their whole ceremony lol He actually has done several weddings for Jeff’s co-workers, he even did one the Friday before ours. He and his wife Dottie are so nice. We met with them in their home in Celebration a few weeks before the wedding and they took notes to incorporate stories about us into the ceremony. I would definitely choose him again.

Here we are at the rehearsal:

Thanks Ashley! You will absolutely love Patricia, no doubt. Depends on when in April you are here, we are cruising from the 10th-24th. Are you still Seasonal?

I wish I was still seasonal but alas :)

We will be there the 9th-12th so maybe i'll see you on the 9th if you are working! NO way are you taking a TRANSATLANTIC DISNEY CRUISE!!! I am so jealous! Alex and I were thinking about the Mexican Riviera one but settled on the Carnival one instead ah well :( Someday soon I will get my cruise ears :)

I've been away from the boards for a few days and was so excited to see some teasers. You looked absolutely beautiful on your wedding day and I loved your flowers! I think its great that you had good experiences with vendors, it looks like your pastor was really nice which I know was an important thing for me at our wedding. Looking forward to reading more.

Hey Becky, it was so exciting catching a "sneak peak" of your wedding. I hope Sheldon and I are not in any of your photos in the background. There were quite a few people with us on the sidelines watching your wedding. I must say that you looked beautiful. The colors were great, loved the way the pinwheels looked going up the aisle. Your girls dresses were just perfect and your hair with the flower in it was just perfect. Loved the way you looked in your dress. Can't wait to see more pictures. I did take a few but have not had them developed yet.

Sorry we never hooked up with your and your new hubby. Hopefully next time we are in Disney. We are hoping to make it back in the fall for the Food and Wine Festival and maybe make a MNSSHP.

Linda

Becky, I know I missed wishing you a happy wedding day ON the day but I was thinking of you on the eighth for sure!!! :flower3:  You looked SO FREAKING gorgeous!!! I can't wait to see more than the teasers! I knew your wedding would be out of this world amazing! Congrats sweetheart! :goodvibes

We got a really great deal on the cruise, it's cheaper than our previous honeymoon plans. We just couldn't pass it up! I am soo excited about it I can't wait!

I don't work in the parks anymore so I probably wont see you on the 9th. :-(

I'm glad you had a sunny day! you look beautiful! Can't wait for your TR!

thanks! TR starts now!

Sorry I missed you Linda. I was working when you called and didn't have my phone with me. I was excited to see you observing the ceremony from the rails. Carol and Tanis were commenting on the crowd and then I saw you and was like "I know her!"

I'm always up for a trip to Food and Wine so hopefully we can catch up then.

Well, let's see. I think I will start my report with my last day of work....

Thursday February 4th 2010.

We had our monthly staff meeting in the morning and at the end of the meeting I was presented with a card and a mini cake!

16965_698665102386_1514184_41986733_5794550_n.jpg

I ended up throwing out the cake as it said it needed to be eaten by the next day and I had no interest in any cake until the wedding day :mickbar:

Then my boss said "And she will be going home at noon"

Awesome!

My parents and grandpa were not arriving until around 2pm so once I left work I headed home and used my time to make all of my placecards and clean out my car. I was really happy about having time to clean all the trash out of my car since I knew I would be driving a lot of people around for the next few days!

So I ate a quick lunch, put on the American Idol from the night before and set to work making placecards! I decided to print the names on a clear label and I searched for the Crayola font, but the only one I found you had to buy and I didn't want to pay for a font just for placecards. I ended up finding a font that looked like it had been written in crayon and decided to go with that one.

Here's a pic of some completed cards I took as I was working on them:

My mom called a few times. First to say they were waiting in line for DME and then she called when they got into their room. She had exciting news at that point. Their rooms were overlooking our ceremony site! So cool. My parents and grandpa had a 2 bedroom villa so they had three balconies overlooking the Croquet Lawn. We decided that I would head on over and bring my dress so that we could hang it in their closet and see if we needed to worry about wrinkles. I had put it on a chair in our living room as soon as I brought it home and hadn't taken it out of the bag.

I met my mom in the Boardwalk parking lot and we brought the dress up to the room. It looked awesome when we got it out of the bag so I was glad I never got around to arranging for a steaming lol. At this point it was getting close to 5pm and we had 550pm reservations at Narcoossee's so we headed out to the Grand Flo. Jeff wasn't off until 5:30 so he was meeting us there. He ended up getting out 15 mins early and arrived right before we did so we caught up to him on the path. We were meeting my mom's college roommate and my grandpas former neighbors who apparently have been living in Orlando for the past 20 years.

We had a really nice dinner. Surprisingly Jeff had never been there before! It serves all his favorite food so I was really shocked at that. I had been before with my parents and my mom's roommate. I got the fillet and Jeff got the shrimp etouffee . I didn't take any pics of the main course apparently. Then for dessert I had the chocolate mousse cake. yumm!

16965_698834892126_1514184_41989486_5710562_n.jpg

After we were done and paid we still sat around FOREVER while the old folks talked. Jeff left right after we paid to go run by DTD and pick up the toasting flutes and photo frames we had ordered at Arribas Bros the evening before. Finally, 2 minutes before fireworks we all got up lol. The neighbors headed home and the rest of us went out to the patio to watch a slightly obscured and rather chilly 'Wishes'

After Wishes we headed inside and I bought the black Dooney and Bourke wristlet since Summer Lace is the only place I had been able to find it, and my grandpa searched for a new belt. He had left his belt at security at Newark airport and when he went back someone else had claimed it! He wanted a reversable belt so we decided to have Jeff buy one while he was out shopping the next day.

We did however stop at Walgreens so they could all get breakfast food and milk. My mom was super psyched about the full kitchen in their villa! Finally I dropped them off at the Boardwalk, where I was a little disturbed by the way the vallets jump on your car when you pull in, so after that night I told them I wouldn't pull up front anymore!

I headed home and arrived actually just before Jeff as they couldn't find the picture frames we had ordered and he had to wait while they searched. He did get them though and they turned out great. They were our gifts to our parents.

MonFeb15193103AmericaNew_York2010.jpg

We headed to bed with each of us having a large to-do list for the next day that needed to be done before our Biergarten reservations

great update. How cute was the little cake gesture from your colleagues. I love your place cards. They looked great. I wouldn't have paid for the font either. Very cool that some family member's rooms faced the ceremony site :goodvibes

Becky you looked beautiful, I loveeeed your dress and your hair especially! Congrats and I can't wait to hear more!
