Just the floral part is under budget, I still need to cut $1400 from the main BEO

On another note - in exactly 4 months time we'll be at the Sydney Airport waiting for our flight to LA!!

Yay for having floral under budget!
I got my floral BEO and was expecting to be like: but it wasnt too terrible.

Just made some minor adjustments and we are now right at what we wanted on both budgets, so we are happy. We still need to send them back and we made still more minor tweaks here and there, like playing with the length of the open bar, etc. We should get back a smaller figure, and we are keeping all our must haves and some extras we didn't even think we could get

We got our first official RSVP acceptance today!!! *insert dancing banana here - I'd do it except I'm on my iPhone*

Lots of people have told us they're coming, but haven't actually rsvped, and we've gotten two official declines, but today was our first acceptance!

Now I'm hoping we dont get any unexpected ones, because I don't want it to throw our budget out. lol

We are only a week away from our RSVP date though, so it's a little funny that we've only heard from 3 groups... I know others are coming because I've seen their flight or accommodation confirmations, they obviously think that's enough of an RSVP, I suppose it is really, but I want to hear from everyone to make sure our budget goes to plan...

I'm usually so good with budgeting but for some reason this one is really out!! lol

Really? We sorta had that idea in the begining, but in the end when we actually did our invites we made sure they had specific names on them, because random people from my side of the family that DF doesn't know and random people from DF's side of the family that I don't know where popping out of no where and inviting themselves!

We're not going to pay $125+ for people that we don't both know, and love. That money could be much better spent on nice meals for us, or just plain shopping!

WooHoo for RSVPs!
I haven't sent my invites out yet, but I had 2 Save the dates, plus 1 newsletter.
I will send my invites soon.
I talked to several people that are invited and they said that the RSVP date shouldn't be further than a month out, even for a destination, and if the guests haven't made their travel arrangements before that with all the info we have made available (newsletters, website, calls, etc), well then it won't be our fault at all.

I have received one RSVP via web and a bunch via phone. So far nobody has booked anything, but everybody says they will in November. I am not worried, since there will be no shortage of rooms and really, we picked the smallest block so this wouldn't stress us and because we have a bunch of FL residents, who are waiting to see if they will release more discount codes.

Eh, whatever will be, will be. I am sure it will work out just dandy in the end. Everybody has different time tables and priorities and just because I have this wedding in the top of my list doesn't mean that everybody has the same ideas. They are probably more worried about Thanksgiving and Christmas right now!

Plus I'll admit sometimes I am *really* bad at returning RSVP's and I just call to say whether I am attending or not... I know, I am a bad guest.

Yeah I know this is pretty far out for an RSVP, but I need to know how many people are coming now for budgetting reasons.

I pretty much know who's coming, but it's those pesky people who have been saying all along - we want to come, but might have to wait until closer to tell you - who need to tell me now!

Today is the RSVP date, and I've had 4 returned so far. I'm going to send an email around reminding everyone, however I spoke to FMIL yesterday and she sheepishly told me that she actually still has a few invitations that she was supposed to hand out sitting on her kitchen bench

Chris and I have officially been engaged for over 2 years now! This year has gone so fast though that I don't think it counts We went out to dinner on the weekend to celebrate the irony... or something

We decided to go on ahead and budget for the total number of people we invited. If we end up with less in the end, we'll figure something out.

You can just give them a call and ask, tell them it is for budgeting purposes and to make sure you have planned for everybody.

We just made our minimuns payment and it feels great to be getting closer, less than 100 days now!

I wasn't too worried, I could have posted them and known that they had all gone out, but this saved me a little on postage, plus they all know about the wedding, and I've sent out that many emails.

My bridesmaid dresses have been shipped! Now I play the waiting game until they turn up.

I had another wedding dream the other night. We all turned up at DW and were all happy and excited about everything, and then I realised that we hadn't noticed that my wedding dress had never been shipped home

That was ok though, because they could ship it to the hotel and all would be good. So I went to the shop where I bought it (which is weird because I bought it online, and the place I tried it on at was in Australia ) and the shop had closed up. I spoke to the people in the shop next door and they told me I was crazy, there had never been a bridal store there

The rest of the dream is a bit fuzzy, but I remember going bridezilla on the neighbouring shop - like it was their fault - and to make it up to me, they let me have one of their wedding dresses I think they were a bakery or something like that, but of course they had wedding dresses!

That's all I remember of the dream, and what does it tell everyone I'm worried about? Yes that's right, my dress not turning up.

I was about to say no, that was all, but then I remembered I do have more to share!!

I've made some fascinators for my bridesmaids, and I'm also having a go at making their bouquets to save money.

I'll try to remember to take some pics tomorrow.

Oh bec Im having dreams that i turn up to put on my dress at DW and Its whit not Ivory or light gold like I want! lol are you using silk flowers for your Bouquets?

They're actually a foamy type flower from spotlight. I've been naughty because I promised the pics, but still haven't taken them

I'll try and remember to do it tonight.

I decided to have a go at making them, because this way if I decide to get my own bouquet made in silk then I'll have the money for it. The real flower bouquet is about $320 though Disney, but for silk it's over $500!!

I'm also going to look around here and see if there are any reputable florists/silk florists that can make my bouquet in silk for less.
