Note that this is an alternative review and not a response to counter both Craig and Ryno's review.
I think that they got alot of undeserved flack for their review.
Most importantly is something that Pete, Kevin and the team often say after doing a dining review. It is important to understand they are only reflecting on their experience. Experiences are subjective and can vary.
It’s really not fair to trash Craig and Ryno for doing their very clearly wrong, but honest, review...
.
I kid but I actually can see where Craig and Ryno are coming from. Pete kind of hinted at it when he said that he might not be a good reviewer of films because he isn’t interested in the details like he would be with a hotel review.
Wheras most of us film goers simply go in expecting an experience Craig and Ryno were actually trying to do their job and offer up a review of the film through a critics eyes.
They therefore picked apart this film and exposed alot of its, in my opinion, my flaws.
And they arn’t alone. Critics gave this film a much lower score then the regular audience did.
However, while I think some films are worth picking over with a fine toothed comb, this isn’t one of them.
This film is simply meant to be enjoyed as an experience. And man oh man will you get an experience out of this film.
I’ve contacted a moderator just to see if it was ok to post a link to my blog. I am a complete amateur blogger and receive absolutely no money for any of my very infrequent posts.
But I think this entry would offer up a great alternative viewing of this film. Instead of through a critics eye I appoached my review through a Disney nerds eye with all of the, acknowledged, biases that go with that perspective.
So I encourage you all to check my review out and please reply to this thread with what you think.
