If buying the cheapest resort worked, than everyone would only own there and no one would own more than one resort.

Jim, it actually works for most options most of the time and some options all of the time. It will not work consistently for some options. Even owning points at a given resort is not a guarantee and it's really the same inventory people tend to buy a resort specifically for. People buy multiple resorts for many reasons but only a relatively small % of them both bought needing and planning on the home resort priority in a way that they actually make work that way. It will vary somewhat by resort but even for the GF the % that plan and use the home resort window consistently will not be huge, likely less than 50% long term, esp if you take out the fixed week portion and count it separately.

I use my bwv points for bwv std or bw view & my bcv points for bcv. If I go last minute for a ssr or akv stay, I rent distressed points
