Anyone been? It's pricey even in the off season. Off season January is the same as around xmas! Is it worth the price?

I've read it is a great place to vacation. However, at $26,000 for a week, plus airfare, we won't ever be finding out. :lmao:

We are booked there for the third week in June - my family is so excited! We have friends who have been there several times with their kids and say it's paradise.

We booked for less than half the "list" price on the website (nowhere near $26,000). They have 65% off sales all the time.

My sister is planning their third vacation there and I know they didn't pay anywhere near $26,000 for prior trips. I want to say it's closer to $8,000 for the four of them for 4 or 5 nights. They love it...the whole place is geared towards families with children of all ages, the food is good, the service is good, the rooms are comfortable, etc.

We have been gong there for the last 4 years and will be heading down again in March. It is a Fantastic place to go for a family vacation. Beautiful resort, great staff, great restaurants, amazing beach. There are a wide variety of room choices. From regular rooms with two queen beds to suites with butler service (that's where the $26k figure comes from). They have 20-30 types of rooms for a variety of budgets. We stay in a 1br villa. It is perfect for us. I have two kids and it is their second favorite travel destination

Granted it is a costly vacation but it is fabulous. Discounts are common. The problem is that all of the lower cost room options often book very quickly so all that is left are the high ticket rooms. I can't stress how much we love this place. If you have any questions I could probably answer them.

I'm so excited to read that! My kids are more than excited about our trip there! Have your kids ever used the kids club? And have you found the transfer from the Providenciales airport to go smoothly? What types of activities have you done?

Sorry for all the questions - I'm just happy to get another 1st hand review. We've booked an Oceanview Concierge Family Suite in the Italian Village for our trip in June.

Oh, and what's their first favorite travel destination? Just curious - we're always looking for ideas...

For the 2 of us the resort is $5300 alone. That's a lot. That doesn't include excursions does it?

Beaches is all-inclusive, including alcohol, all meals, activities (sailing, snorkeling, etc), kids club, etc. And there's no tipping allowed.

Hey, OP,

When you travel can make a huge difference in price.
Usually, in the Caribbean, there is no off-season in Jan.
Shoulder season would be from after Easter until usually some time in May.
And the cheapest OFF season would be June, thru November.
Then, when Thanksgiving and Christmas come around, and Hurricane season ends, the prices go back to high-season rates.

Also, while Turks and Caicos would be huge on my list of destinations.
OMG - Grace Bay Beach!
And while Beaches Turks and Caicos seems SO nice and huge and so much to offer. If it is just the two of you (two adults?) realize that this is a true kids and family destination. I have heard that there are just TONS of kids everywhere. Especially during any times when schools might be out and families might be on vacation break.

If the total price is a big factor. There are other very very nice hotel/resorts on Turks and Caicos that might be good for two adults.

We really enjoyed out trip there, and DH is taking the kids back this summer in June as well (I get to stay home and work). We didn't use the kids clubs, but the transfer was painless, the line was long for customs, but it wasn't confusing. Our main activity was scuba diving, which is included as well, making the cost totally worth it for us.

We went with some friends who stayed in the concierge family suites in the Italian Village, and their room was absolutely gorgeous. Their concierges were great, even to our family, who was not staying concierge. He even set up a cabana at the pool with flowers spelling out Happy Birthday to my son!

Oh, and we didn't pay anywhere NEAR $26K for our 7 day trip for 4, or the 7 day trip for 3.

January is definitely NOT off-season for the Caribbean! Winter months are peak season there. July-Sept would be off-season.

Yep. Definitely July-Sept is off season....much better prices. I sent my parents to Cuba for dirt cheap at the end of Sept. Huge price difference from Winter months. Weather was good too. They said it only rained for about an hour in the evening.

Did not realize that. It's after schools start so I thought it might be less.

We went a few years ago and it was $36,000 for 14 of us - in 4 separate rooms in the French section. It was well worth it - our best extended family vacation ever. Every place that we have vacationed before and after Beaches, Turks and Caicos pails in comparison!

We spent a week at the Hard Rock Punta Cana this past summer, and all of the kids spent the week comparing it to Beaches, Turks and Caicos. It was a great resort, but the same quality as Beaches.

Yep, thats right, its also probably cheaper due to the fact that school has already started. October was also very cheap. I guess the weather would be nicer maybe?

So first week of October 2016 for the 2 of us is still $4500. So $1000 less. This does not include airfare from LAX.

Are you set on an all-inclusive? We stayed at a beach house right on the beach there, made our own breakfast and lunch, went out to dinner. There were tennis courts, a pool, snorkeling equipment (you can snorkel right from shore). If you check tripadvisor it is usually among the top places to stay.
