Beaches Turks and Caicos

Are you set on an all-inclusive? We stayed at a beach house right on the beach there, made our own breakfast and lunch, went out to dinner. There were tennis courts, a pool, snorkeling equipment (you can snorkel right from shore). If you check tripadvisor it is usually among the top places to stay.

I did an AI in Jamaica once and while it was fun I didn't feel it was spectacular. I haven't wanted to do a caribbean AI since. However, people rave about this place so I thought I'd try it now that I'm a parent. So I started looking and was blown away by the prices. If $4500 is the cheapest o can get without airfare I don't know if I'll try it. I never pay that much for just my son and I for a cruise on disney so this is a lot for me. We may do it as a once in a life time thing some day.

I could do a disney Europe or Norway cruise for the same price. I think I'll pass for now. Doesn't seem worth it although it does definitely look nice and fun.

We went there in 2010 the 1st week of June. Got the 65% off sale plus another $250 off for being Sandals Select members. We booked 2 bdrm family suite w/butler service in the Italian Village section for $13,000 after the discounts. We had a great time. The BEST beach I have ever been on! We booked a photo session on the beach & the pics turned out amazing! I still have those pics up on my walls. My DS was 5 at the time & almost 5 yrs later, he still asks to go back.

$13000? And that was 65% off? Wow. How many are in your family? I could never spend that much. Also school doesn't get out until mid June. Starts mid Jan so that's when we tend to travel.

We arrived last day of May as that's when my kids' school gets out. The resort wasn't even half full b/c it was right b4 summer season started. To be honest, I think the $13,000 includes the airfare which was around $2000 for the 4 of us. So I guess more like $11,000 & I don't think that's bad for 8 days with butler service, food, & drinks. You price out butler service at other resorts & it's way more expensive.

Lol but I don't want a butler service! How much would it have been for just a regular hotel room?

I priced out basically every month of the year this year and next. The most I saw was 50% off. Even that was too much IMO. I'd rather be on a cruise seeing different exotic places for that kind of money. It's probably really great but it's just out of my price range as a single mom.

We haven't done Beaches, but took our first Sandals vacation last year. (Same company owns both. Beaches is for families and Sandals is for couples.) I don't think DH and I will ever go back to another all-inclusive other than Sandals. Our experience was absolutely amazing! We've ranked it as 2nd best vacation we've ever had. Yes, it was more expensive than other AIs, but worth every penny. There's no upcharge for activities (many AIs charge for snorkeling, scuba diving, etc.). The only extra charges we encountered were for the Spa, scuba certification, cabanas w/butler service, and certain wines. Once you arrive you really don't need to spend another penny. No tipping allowed.

If you want a cheap room at Beaches T & C then stay in the Caribbean section. That's the lowest price. The next is French section. There are plenty of rooms w/o butler service too. Then it was for like $3000 total for Caribbean section for a week w/a family of 4. Remember that includes everything except airfare. Get a quote & see for yourself.

Beaches is opening a new resort in Barbados next year & we plan on staying there.

Some posters keep telling that it can be cheaper, but just out of curiosity, I went and got some quotes, and the lower price categories are the same amount, about $4,500. that the OP has mentioned.

I have not been able to find less than $4500 for just 2 of us! How do I get it lower??? $2500 or $3000 for 2 would be worth it as I figure out airfare from California might be at tops $1500 total.

Is that in January? Try May or Sept to see if rates are lower. Maybe i got more of a deal for being a Sandals Select member???
