As if either could be bad!:lmao: I am trying to plan our arrival day and had originally thought we'd go to Beaches 'n Cream for lunch and the all important No Way Jose sundae. I've been seeing a lot of reviews about WPE though, and am now considering going there for lunch and then Ghiradellis for ice cream. Honestly, the ice cream is more important to me than the actual "lunch", so I'm wondering which people prefer?

We were staying at Beach Club last week. It was over an hour and a half wait to get into Beaches and Cream for lunch. I guess the thing to do is put your name on the list and then keep enjoying the pool. But, if you're not staying there, you don't have that option. The burgers and onion rings looked good, but I won't wait that long to eat anywhere, let alone a burger joint. So, on that basis, I'd go with your Ghiradelli plan. They have delicious ice cream treats and WPE is also very good.

Ghirardelli has better ice cream, but B&C have some delicious items (No Way Jose in particular). Due to the ridiculously small seating area, long waits, and past visit(s) with terrible service, we would pick Ghirardelli every time, but if you want to eat lunch, and are planning on doing that at B&C, then I'd say just have ice cream there as well.

We have done Ghiradelli's 4 times (at least) and Beaches N Cream once. We prefer Ghiradelli's MUCH more.

I love Ghiradelli's! On our last trip we went there 5 times! The hot fudge is made fresh using Ghiradelli chocolate and is realy good, my fav was having a scoop of chocolate ice cream with milk hot fudge and buying a brownie separately and just plonking it in there!

Ghiradelli is better ice cream and chocolate. They also have good, speedy service. I work in a place very similar so I appreciate that very much :)

On a busy night the line moves very quickly and they have lots of yummy options to consider while you wait.

Ghiradelli:thumbsup2 .Better Ice cream...B&C is good food, but so not worth the 1 hour plus waits it can get to ,waiting for a table.

I just came back from a stay at Beach Club Villas and we ate twice at B&C and had ice cream at Ghiardelli's one evening. The burgers and onion rings at B&C are fabulous, but the prices are a bit steep. DS and I each had a burger, plus a side of onion rings, a bowl of their chili each and soft drinks with our bill at over $50! I wrote it off as we were on vacation. But it was really good. We also had the No Way Jose the first time we ate there. This was awesome and more than enough for the 2 of us to split. One thing we did was get there shortly before they opened and they were able to seat us right when it opened.

Ghiardelli's is a staple for us each trip when we go to DTD. It is really hard to say which is better. :confused3 Can you do both on different days?:goodvibes

This definitely sounds like an issue you should test yourself, and of course, more than once, just to be sure. In all honesty, I just go to whichever is more convenient. They're both so delicious, I haven't decided which I prefer. So I keep testing over...and over...and over....

I like them both. Not sure is Ghiradelli makes their own ice cream, but I believe Beachs and Cream is (or at least at one time WAS) Edy's.

IMHO Ghiradelli has the better ice cream and more flavors. :goodvibes Also, you will have more of a chance to get a place to sit there if that's important to you.

I believe that Edy's is the only ice cream served at WDW now except for Ghiradelli's. I like Edy's and often get it at home, especially the "slow churned", but they offer few flavors on property. When I am on vacation, I like something more special than Edy's. However, if you put hot fudge and whipped cream on it, it's not bad.

Thanks everyone! I now think the plans have been changed to Ghiradelli. Though I may have to stop in at B&C if I find time... in the name of research of course!:goodvibes
