I just got on to find out the scoop myself (no pun intended! ). My dad just called me with "bad news"...he said that they just purchased the new Birnbaum's guide & it said that they are replacing it with the Beach Club Marketplace. He said he even went to the restaurant listing in the back, & sure enough, it wasn't listed. We have some very fond memories eating together at this place...not to mention the yummy food!

Yes, but only because there were people around. My mom is a Ice Cream Fanatic. In fact her shirt in the picture is from a dairy in Sandusky, OH, it reads "Tofts Dairy Inc.~ Ice Cream Lover". Last year she entered a contest with Edy's (Dryer's) Ice Cream for a 'Neighborhood Block Party' and won. They delivered 12 GALLONS of Slow Churned Ice Cream to her house via Fed-Ex and along with it 100 coupons for free 1/2 gallons, ice cream cups, spoons, scoops, tablecloths, disposable camera, basically all the fixin's to have a neighborhood party. Did she have the party...nope. She kept it all to herself, well she did share it with family and friends. There are only a few people in the neighborhood that she knows so she gave them a bunch of coupons, and she also sent coupons to everyone she knew.

I hope it's not true or I'll have to redo my itinerary. It's one of the few Boardwalk restaraunts open for lunch. I hope it's just a rumor!

Guess I should have said Boardwalk "area" restaurants since I fully understand that Beaches and Cream is at BC.

The Beach Club Marketplace is attached to the BC store, off the hotel lobby. The store area was expanded to include the food area. Beaches & Cream is in a different area of the hotel.

That's what prompted my post. Apparently it's open so now I am really confused?

Me, too! I hope it's not right b/c it has been one of our very favorite places...I, too, know that it's STILL open; never said it wasn't. I just hope that the folks at Birnbaum's don't have the heads up on something that we don't! It would seem strange since they just overhauled the marketplace area attached to the gift shop. We'll just hope that it was an oversight on someone's part!
