Hi,

Never been to Beaches & Cream before and heard it is really good. I have a couple of questions. Is this CS or TS restaurant and do you definately need an ADR or can you walk up? We were thinking of maybe trying it for lunch. Also can you get to it easily from Epcot? Sorry for the dumb questions....new to this whole Beaches and Cream thing. :) Thanks in Advance

B&C counts as 1 TS credit for the dining plan. They don't take ADRs. It's strictly first come, first served seating. You can walk easily to the Beach Club from the International Gateway at Epcot.

Thank you so much...very glad to know that you don't need an ADR :)...since getting those can be a little stressful these days  . Now knowing that I think I will drag DH over there on our first day for lunch!

They don't take ADRs because the place is very small and the wait times can be quite long. Try outside of peak lunchtime.

I wouldn't use a lunch credit on Beaches and Cream...it is a great place to get a large specialty sundae to share with your DH, though! I'd pay out of pocket for it (about $8-$10 includes tip)...but not right at noon.

Here's an idea...get checked into the GF, hop on the monorail, ride to Ticket and Transportation center, hop off, do NOT go down the ramp, just walk right across to the Epcot monorail, ask the first CM you see if you and DH can ride up front, follow his instructions, even if the front is already full(they take four) wait until you can ride, take the front of the monorail to Epcot, hop off, walk through Epcot, have lunch at whatever country you fancy, enjoy the World Showcase untill you are ready for some more dessert, go out of Epcot the back way (the gate between England and the bridge to France), hop on the boat just outside this exit, stay on it until you get to the Beach Club/Yacht Club stop, hop off, walk to the point outside exactly half-way between these two resorts, you're at Beaches 'n' Cream, get a sundae TO SHARE (trust me), enjoy yourselves, reverse the process to get back to GF maybe stopping to take in Illuminations if you aren't exhausted lol (or, as I would do, just get whatever bus takes you back to the GF from the Yacht or Beach Club.

Now, how does that sound? Lol

Good idea..we don't land until noon anyway so I figure by the time we get everything settled it will be a late lunch :)

Yeah, I am with you on this one, looked at the menu and pricing @ allears.net and I don't think it is worth a TS credit for a burger fries and ice cream. Def going to be paying OOP for this one..but it doesn't appear expensive. What we will prob do is split a burger, fries and ice cream...'cause we want to have an appetite for our 8:55 ressie @ Kona.

my kids love it, great old fashioned ice cream shop, though the food is just standard burger and fries, if you have a crowd of good feeders try the kitchen sink:thumbsup2

Aw...you didn't say you had a ressie at Kona...lol. You still should do the front of the monorail thing to Epcot from the Ticket and Transportation Center if you've never done it before...sometime.

I definately want to try riding in front of the monorail, we have never done that before :)

I have seen pics of the kitchen sink and all I can say is:scared1:....looks really good but don't think the 2 of us could tackle it lol :)

Two years ago five of us (2 teen girls, 1 teen boy and we, the parents) finished it...but we didn't have anything else to eat...and we were stuffed with ice cream and toppings.

I highly do NOT recommend this for 2 people.

Here's the menu from All Ears: http://allearsnet.com/menu/menu_bc.htm

Sorry missed that it was just the two you,,,definitely would not recommend for anything less than 4, and you better bring an appetite at thatpopcorn::

There is some stuff on the kitchen sink that I am not sure that I would like mixed together...like mint ice cream and strawberries....do they leave any of the toppings off? My husband will not eat fruit toppings on his ice cream (big baby) I would eat a strawberry sundae, but not on mint or coffee... there is always something that just holds me back , though I do want to try it.

Lol...the Kitchen Sink is not for you or your DH. It is a study in excess that will make any youngsters eyes pop...and a symphony of mish-mashed tastes that is heaven! No two bites are the same experience. That's part of its mystique and charm lol.

They would probably leave the fruit toppings off if you asked...but even if you did that there is sure to be some flavor combination that could potentially turn you off. I mean this is serious ice cream/syrups/toppings indulgence here! That's why it's called the kitchen sink!

You might do better to just order a tailor-made banana split...choose your ice creams and your toppings. That way you'll get exactly what you require.

I love your response!! HILARIOUS!!! I am more adventurous than he is and I think it is the mixture of fruit toppings with that flavors that bothers me and maybe I am thinking about it too much, but I think THAT is HIS fault...he is so picky sometimes....IT IS ICE CREAM!!! Oh well maybe when my brother and his girl friend join us we can convince him...

Last time my family was at B&C's we had an Italian family seated next to us and the man in that family had just completely finished his 5th kitchen sink over the total of thier whole vacation and he wasn't this huge man either. My mother was in awe and I had no idea what a big deal it was until our own kitchen sink arrived to our table. We were a family of 4 adults, 2 teens, 1 preteen and 1 toddler and we got about 2/3 down to the bottom. We plan on hitting B&C's the last day of our trip this Oct. I can't wait:yay:
