Beaches and Cream vs Ghiradelli?

Which one is better in your opinion and why? We love ice cream, and I want to make sure to go to one of these for a treat while we're at WDW.

We love both, but depending upon where you are staying, Beaches & Cream can be a bit of a hassle to get to. Last year when we went there were two weddings going on and we had to park across the street at the very back of the parking lot. Ghirardelli's is always convenient for us because I never miss out on some shopping time at DTD. If you have the time...give both a try! YUMMM! If I could only do 1 next trip...Ghirardelli's.

I liked Beaches and Cream better. When we went last April, I got a hot fudge sundae with like a spoonful of hot fudge at Ghiradelli. It was mostly just vanilla ice cream. Now I'd rather have some ice cream with my hot fudge, lol, not the other way around

I can always go to Ghiradelli at the local mall - so its Beaches and Cream for me.

Another vote for Beaches & Cream. I just love the feel of the place. Ghiradelli is yummy, but not all that different from any good local ice cream place - we weren't all that thrilled with it!

That's a tough call, never met an ice cream I didn't like! But I think I'd give the edge to Beaches and Cream since it's got much nicer atmosphere. Also, I've found the servers much friendlier (actually, I have a hard time thinking of "friendly servers" and "Ghiardelli's" in the same sentence, but they've always been so nice at B&C).

Never been to Ghiradelli's but we loveeeee Beaches and Cream! We will most likely do this twice next trip.

Ghirardelli is amazing- we always stop here at disney since we don't get to the one in Chicago usually. The portions aren't huge, but the stuff is taysteee!

IMO....Ghirardelli. B & C is great, too, but hands down Ghriardelli. I feel their ice cream is better and it's a little different atmoshphere. I love the smores sundae with extra marshmallow! I get it with chocolate chip ice cream! B & C has great burgers!

Beaches and Cream. Both are good but if I had to pick one it would be Beaches and Cream.

Thank you everyone! We will be at DTD, so we'll definitely eat at Ghiradelli. BUT, now I'm going to fit in B&C after MGM or Epcot one night. Thanks for the help!

Beaches and Cream is a must do for us every Disney trip! Great burgers. Great ice cream. Great atmosphere.

I don't think I'd make a special trip to the Beach Club just to eat at B & C or to DTD to eat at Ghiradelli's. If you're already at DTD or the Boardwalk, partake, but remember there are many fine ice cream places to be found in WDW. I like the Plaza Restaurant ice cream sundaes.

I used my Birthday coupon from Ghirardelli to get my BOGO sundae on my last trip (me, DH and DF).

We ordered the Hot Fudge and the Caramel sundaes.

After much consideration.........

We decided that Beaches & Cream (the No Way Jose in particular) was (IMHO) much preferred by us.

B&C is excellent, and is now a "must do" for us when we go to WDW!! The ice cream is incredible...but the burgers are good, too! The best I've had in the World. Have fun!

On our last trip we had one of the Ghiradelli B1G1 free coupons with us.

Never had a chance to use it, though. Went to Beaches & Cream instead. Now that was an experience. During our time there we saw SIX (!!) Kitchen Sinks ordered, two for one table ! What a blast !

Do I regret not using the coupon and saving money - not for a minute. I may not remember those times I've eaten at Ghiradelli's, but I will remember my last time at B&C !

We had one of the worst sandwiches ever at B&C- the vegie burger. exceptionally bad. (The only one that tops it for worst was a rare hamburg at a Burger King, but that's another story.) However the sundaes are delicious.

i love the atmophere of both beaches and creme s always

Ghiradellis is at DTD and can be crazy
i love the waffle cone with choclate chip cookie dough ice cream at ghiradellis

had a difficult time getting into beaches & cream two weeks ago....
even the take out line was over 29 minutes long...

guess it is the time of year you are going..

went 1st time in October & had no problem getting in
this June,,,,way overcrowded

so, don't know when you are planning your trip, but if it is peak season,,
don't waste your time make a special trip...
only to have to wait a long time
