We rented a beachcomber shack last September and it was around $200 I believe - we were there during what they considered off season - which means a lower price. We loved the shack. Ours was located on the right hand side of the park (from where you come in) close to Typhoon Tilly's, an entrance to the wave pool, an entrance to the lazy river, close to the old snorkel area, and many of the water slides. It as perfect. We had 6 adults, from 41 to 70! My dad (70) said that it was his favorite thing from our trip. He felt like royalty that day. The cabana had 6 chairs with 3 side tables and 2 or 3 foot rests. I believe one of the tables was a cooler filled with bottled water which we got to take with us when we left. There was a medium sized locker that stored our phones, wallets, keys, eyeglasses, cameras, magic bands...and anything else we wanted to keep safe. We had two attendants that were amazing. They would check on us every 20 mins or so, but if they saw one of us come back to the cabana they would ask if we needed anything. Oh we also got refillable mugs. The refilling station was short walk from the cabana. they gave us tips on how to keep the bees and bugs out of our sugary drinks. They also asked us not to dump any of the soda in the bushes because that draws the bees! They 2 attendants gave us a cell phone number to text if we needed them right away. They took our lunch order (which we had to pay for) and delivered it to us. They also took our drink order from the bar and brought those items to us. Lunch was amazing and they thought of everything, napkins, wet naps, utensils, condiments..you name it. They also ran "security" for us and made people who were not supposed to be in the cabanas leave or those that were lurking around the ropes to move along. It was awesome. It was money well spent.
If i remember correctly there were 3 shacks in our area and we were the only ones...it was like a private area for sure.
I can't say anything for the umbrellas as I don't have experience with them. But I know if we do another large group to a water park we will do a shack again.
