Beach Club

I've stayed there twice, just back in fact. No problems at all. Staff was polite and no issues to speak of.

We even had one time when we were staying at Pop Century, but just wanted to visit the Beach Club, than we decided to take a taxi back to the POP Century, and the Valet Guys took us instead! (That's Disney Service!)

We have stayed there three times and in a differant size room each time. Only one room had a couple of problems. We called maintainance right away, and within just a few minutes they came to fix it. We have never had any probems with any of the cast members there. It is our home resort and we love it there. As most people have said, outside of the beauty of the resort, the location is one of the best and SAB can't be beat. We will eventually stay at the other DVC resorts but BCV will always be our pride and joy.

We just got back from a studio at BCV. My only complaint was my view of the room (we were on the first floor with a view of the road), but we got used to that and will just remember to ask for a different view next time. Plus, we had my parents with us and got two studios instead of two bedroom villa. Definitely won't do that again.

However, I found the staff didn't treat me rudely at all. And although SAB is great, my girls are 2 and 4 and were just as excited to go into Dune's Cove quiet pool. The exit to the pool was right across the hall which was very convenient. I guess that was good payoff for the lousy view.

The best part of BCV for me was the walk to Epcot. With my girls the ages they are, we can only take that in small doses. It was nice to go over to Epcot for just a few hours and head back "home".

pa@okw95 -- What happened to get you bummed out on BCV? It is puzzling since you say you never stayed there. You have completely lost any crediblity on this. Please explain.

I had some major problems there last March, came home mad and vented here. I did address the issues while there and got some results.

I own there and am planning to return again. I anticipate a good stay.

They Had a nice Suburban, which had WDW markings on it.
It wasnt one of the "Valet" cars!! LOL

I'm not convinced there really is a good explanation, given this has been requested several times. I think it's just good old fashion resort bashing. BVC get's it more than other resorts, especially given it's size.

We stayed at BCV 2 times last year and had terrific experiences both times.

and I must say, I love this resort.

Last year when we bought in, we were not able to get into BCV.....we settled for a 1BR at BWV, which we fully enjoyed. After our wonderful experience at BWV, I was afraid BCV would be a let down after reading all the negativity on this board. This spring we were lucky enough to stay in a studio for a couple nights prior to our Disney Cruise.....we absolutely loved it. It was a wonderful experience. Prior to joining DVC, we stayed at DL and then POR (same resort, name change). This resort to us was the best of everything, we loved the peacefulness of it, and the convenience of it. We believe BCV has offered us some of the same, we love the location and it has that same ambiance about it......and we call it home! My son asks me at least once a week if we can move there, and he's only 6.

As we would like to try other resorts, we believe this was a good choice for us. We are palnning on trying to trying VB following our trip home July 05.....and would love to try WLV, sometime.

My response to negative reports on Internet forums is this. If you do not stay at a particular resort, buy a car, eat at a restaurant, etc. due to Internet forum comments, you will never own any product or go anywhere.

Go and make your own decisions.

I definitely agree that if you have never even stayed at the Beach Club Villas, how could you possibly have any opinion about it.

We now know that you dislike BCV, pool hopping, and a fifth person in a room.

I would like to know pa@okw95 by sight and when/where he stays. I would love to pull the clown/car routine on him.

When he is standing outside my door, I would have everyone in the room (24, planted of course) start to leave with a piece of luggage. The look on his face, I think, would be priceless. If he said anything to me I would look him in the eye and say "what's the problem, it's only the fifth person............times 20."

I just wanted to add to the OP - I was able to get ressies for a studio - no problem (just made them last week) for BCV, Sept. 14th -19th.

I wonder why you had problems.

Have you called back?

Can't wait to stay at our home sweet home for the first time!

I own 2 contracts at OKW, but have stayed at BCV on several occasions, and I must say, I have never had a problem. I have always found the staff to be nice, I have found the rooms in generally good repair and when there have been minor problems, they have been fixed quickly, and, of course, you can't beat the location.

We've stayed all over WDW and have ownership interests at both BW and BCV. I love the BW, but I always want to stay at BCV and can't wait to get back there in just a few short days.

Trust me, though, if there's a problem I'll report it.
