Do you have a particular favorite? Is there any difference between the two resorts other than the decor? Thanks for your opinions. :)

We've stayed at both and I prefer YC, but my DD prefers BC. I like the large balconies and quiet atmosphere of YC, but my DD likes the breezy, airy feel of BC. I didn't like the noise from SAB in my 2 double beds & no day bed room @ BC (water view), but I did like the standard view we had @ BC (2 queens & day bed) due to its location to Epcot WS. I don't think I'm helping;)
I will say that we've enjoyed the wonderful location, awesome pool, yummy ice cream @ Beaches & Cream everytime we've stayed at either YC or BC. It's a great resort complex, so whatever you decide, have a wonderful time!

About the only difference I can see (other than decor) is that BC is a shorter walk to EPCOT.

Can I refer you to the thread you'll find here on the DIS entitled the "NEW YACHT & BEACH CLUB QUESTION & ANSWER FORUM".

There, you'll find 45 information filled pages of most of what you need to know about both resorts.

I had a hard time deciding between the two -- I ended up picking YC because it was available on my first choice of dates. The rooms seem pretty much the same and guests at both resorts share all the facilities.

Don't wait to long to decide, in case either resort gets sold out.

Besides the decor. The YC rooms all have full balconies and the Beach Club has some rooms with balconies that you can only stand on because they are small. So no table and chairs.

I posted this same question a few weeks ago. Basically it came down to the decor of the rooms for me. We chose the BC. I love the lobby at the YC but, from pictures, I think I would like the rooms at the BC better.

A full balcony would be very nice but we are going in August and I don't know if we would get much use out of it because of the heat. I did request a full balcony though.

Hope this helps.

Well i have only staye on the yatch side everyone told me it was stuffy. to my suprise it was wonderful beautiful decerations and the staff is wonderful very friendly. I did however walk to the beach side it also looked nice but t looked a little more run down to me but t also was beautiful. whitch yo choose will be wonderfuli'm sure. hope you have a great time.

Just got back... I prefer the BC. It is more playful and I feel that it seems closer to everything, even though it isn't particularly, over the YC. It seems more like the "home" resort if you know what I mean, even though it has less rooms. We stayed at the BC and walked over to the YC one evening... It seemed a lot less fun and relaxed. It seemed more "wealthy businessman" like and a lot less homey. It is beautiful, but in a way, kind of annoying. The restaurants are also a bit more expensive and not quite as good, according to reviews. We were happy when we were back at the BC where we were staying. It all depends on preference... just my family's observations.

The Beach Club has more of a family atmosphere, but the cast members at the Yacht Club are exceptional.

My favorite is BC, simply because the decor is lighter. If you have the Travel Channel there is going to be a special (re-run) on in about 2 weeks of the Y&B Club it shows both resorts and both rooms. You can go to the Travel Channel web site and do a search on Disney, for some reason there was a misprint this month and it is coming up on the site as Little Palms Spa something or other, but you will seen in the description that it is on the doorstep of Epcot.

Have you written your report on the BC yet? I am looking forward to reading your opinion of it. If I remember you were asking about it the same time I was and it was your first stay as ours is going to be.

Thanks
