I know that 8 years ago, you would get a reservation for Beach club villas using DVC points from other DVC Resorts as long as you did right at 7 months with day to day booking strategy.

Can someone please tell me, is this still possibile

If a person purchased at DVC Polynesian Bungalows, could they use those DVC Poly points to get into
DVC Beach Club villas at 7 month window-day by day booking

It crossed my mind, too many DVC Owners now all competing for DVC BEach club
Reservations at 7 month window-day by day booking

one bedroom
Sunday to Saturday-6 nights
In late may every year
I just booked BCV mid May this year. Right at 7 months, 1 BRs were avail most, but not all days for our trip. If you waitlisted and played with it, it might be possible now.

Who knows in 5 yrs?

Rumor is that DVC is going to BCV after VWL. If true, that'll change any calculation you can make today in ways we won't be able to predict until we see how it plays out at VWL.

We have found BC very accessible at the 7-month window from February to September ... other than that it's WL game time

If you want to stay at BCV, don't buy expensive Poly points. Buy BCV points on the resale market for a much lower cost and get the 11 month booking window advantage as well.

@KANSAS, there is a difference now from the procedure you remember. Owners of other DVC resorts can book BCV (or any DVC resort they do not own) at 7 months out, subject to availability, but it is no longer a day by day calling process like it was when the rule was that you could reserve 7 months out from date of departure from the DVC resort. The rule now is that you can book up to 7 nights at 7 months out from date of arrival. Thus, you only need to call once.
