Has anyone stayed in the Beach Club Villas? I heard they are new, but not sure how new. Also, how would you compare them to Wilderness Lodge villas, OKW villas and BW villas?

They opened in July 2002.

We joined DVC in March. The rooms are very similar, but have a DVD player and a bench with table--instead of table with 4 chairs.

We stayed in a 1-bedroom at BCV in Sept.

We really enjoyed our stay. We are DVC members, our home resort is OKW, but we were wanting to see this new home away from home.

We were there in October in a 1 bedroom Villa. I loved it because there were 2 t.v.s, 2 patios, a full kitchen - I mean gadgets galore and a dishwasher! There was also a washer and dryer with soap and softners!!!!! The place was huge! It was very quiet despite being on the 1st floor near the entrance and the housekeeping was excellent. The location is great too.:Pinkbounc :bounce:

WOW! Great Pictures, danicaw!!!

The pics sum up the quality and beauty of the resort, but if you are a lover of the World Showcase, nothing beats that short little walk from the BCV to the International Gateway!!!

They compare to WLV & BWV in that they are all DVC properties with similar amenities, and each have their own particular personality and charm. The big difference between BC & BW, IMO, is the pool - BCV offers use of Stormalong Bay as well as the quiet pool shown in the pictures above.

We stayed there in October and absolutely loved it!

As stated, BCV opened in July. We were there in December and BCV is very nice. We split our last trip between VWL and BCV - a studio in both places.

The studios are very similar in layout. However, the VWL studio may be slightly larger - or a little better laid out. The bathroom in the BCV was larger than at VWL- but had a lot of wasted space. This made the vanity area more cramped than at VWL. I think the space is better used in the VWL studios.

Another thing we noticed - the pull out couch at the BCV is smaller than at VWL. However, I think they aer in the process of replacing the smaller pull outs at BCV.

Bottom line is that BCV is very nice and we made reservations there for our upcoming May trip :).

We stayed in a studio at the BCV and it was very nice. The villas are beautiful and still very new.:D

Another BCV lover here! I've stayed at VWL and OKW (not at BWV yet) and BCV wins. I love being able to sit on my balcony and listen to the faint sound of the music from WS. Love the theming! Love B&C! Love the convenience to Epcot! Haven't mentioned SAB, since I don't swim, that didn't factor into my choice. So even without SAB, BCV is my favorite.

As you can see from the pics, the BCV are beautiful. They are our favorite among the villas at WDW. As far as the layout of the villa goes, the BCV, BWV and VWL are essentially the same, with just a few minor differences. OKW is bigger then the other 3, but not significant enough to make me want to stay there over BCV. I think the biggest difference at any of the resorts is the themeing at each. Do a little research and see which of the themes appeals most to you.

Real nice pictures!
I too love the BCV and bought sight unseen in June. Stayed 1 night in December and are staying for 5 nights in 2 weeks!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

For us the deciding factor was the location. My DH and I love EPCOT and the Boardwalk. So when BCV became available, we knew where we wanted to buy!

(Stayed at the BWV in September in a studio for a week. The studios are very similar and I think both are great locations)

(The 1 and2 bedroom units have DVD players, the studios do not)

My 4 year old came to sit on my lap when Danicaw's photos popped up on the screen (they were identical to our 2 b/r layout). She immediately squealed "That's our hotel room!!". She remembered where she took her bath (in the jacuzzi) and where she went swimming. We both just experienced a wonderful moment as we remembered our vacation.

BCV is just absolutely wonderful. I know there are those who just want a room to sleep in because it's all about the parks. But a vacation in this resort is just so special. Because of it's home-like amenities, you truly get the feeling that you "live" in WDW.

One of these days we'll join DVC and I'll be like TerryS and plan multiple trips. Until then, we're living for June 2004.
