I'd love to know what a first floor pool view or courtyard view would be like closer to the BC end of the building. We are thinking of switching to the BCV from the Poly for our next trip but I think I want first floor.

I LOVE the BCV, in fact, I had two 'homes', one at BWV and one at BCV. I sold the BWV, and to be honest, as much as I love BCV, I'm so sick and tired of the 'frontage' road noise! Last few trips down, I've been waitlisted for BWV, but to no avail. Not had a problem with 'turquoise undies' by a neighbor yet, but have always been in a one or two bedroom unit. This last visit, in December, I had ONE request, a large deck (2 bedroom unit). Was assured it as a 'large deck'. Well, it was 3 seperate 2 person decks! We were on the top floor, last room in the villas, and felt like we were sitting right ontop of the highway. The fireworks? So close, our room shook! First few nights were great, after that, alot of grumbling was going on. If you honestly consider it, how many of us go for the 'views' to sit in our room in WDW? Not many! The lack of view at BCV hasn't bothered me as much as the road noise.

but dh only got the locked off and dedicated portion of that site link - he thought either would be fine!!

I'm going to show him the real value in the site, because I dont care if someone in teal shorts shows up on the balcony, I want to sit out on the balcony!!

I just dont have enough... gumption to ask at check in for the "right" room - I just really would rather not have teal shorts guy to deal with!! Can I say that to the CM??

I stayed for one night in a studio and we were given the room backing up to the road. I am a very light sleeper and hated hearing the road noise. Hearing cars zoom by while sitting on the balcony sort of takes away from the experience for me, but I know it may not bother others. That was the biggest downside to Beach Club. I would love a room facing the trees and/or a room on the first floor, but views are never guaranteed.

We had a 2 bed lock off for 11 nights in May 2007. The view was of the road (bridge going over the canal so no trees or anything blocking road view) and EPCOT behind that. I think we were on the 3rd floor. I do have pictures but have no idea how to post them.

The road noise was a bit annoying, especially the bump as cars and trucks went over a join in the road. We soon got used to it though. I think my parents were more irritated by it than us (they were in the studio) as they like to sit on the balcony a lot. It was great being able to see Illuminations from the room though, we all enjoyed that.

Next time we would request a courtyard or pool view but the view isn't crucial of course. The resort itself is so fabulous it more than made up for the lousy view and slight road noise. We really hope to go to BCV this August again so it certainly hasn't put us off.

Thanks for sharing these 2 photos; they brought back great memories of our time there last summer; we had a view of the pool up on level 5 I believe.
It was a 2 bedroom villa and we actually had two separate balconies.
One balcony ran the length of the master bedroom all the way across the living room (it was twice the size of the other balcony); the 2nd balcony was off the 2nd bedroom. Our room was where the building sort of curved, so the 2nd bedroom was bigger than a typical bedroom.
We enjoyed the view and would pick the same room again.
