HI, Happy Holidays to all

I'm so excited!! I just booked 5 nights stay 1 bedroom at the Beach Club Villas for july 23- 28 at the 7 month window. Tell me all about this dvc resort and what I should not miss. Also, because I am taking my mom along with us, I requested a non smoking room perferably near the main pool. Due to health reasons, I want a room close to pool, bus stops etc. so she does not have to walk far.

Thanks

We stayed at BCV this July and it was great!

Unless I'm not remembering properly, the main (stormaling bay) pool is in front of the Beach Club (facing cresent lake) and not the villas. I'm not sure what view to request to be near the entrance to the villas. You might consider a 'quiet pool' view as you can walk the path to the buses.

I'd recommend having ice cream at Beaches & Cream and enjoying the pool. We enjoyed July much better when we stayed at the pool and rested. At night, I recommend walking over the boardwalk.

We stayed at BCV last July. We had a view of the quiet pool. It was not a long walk to the bus stop, main pool, or the lobby area. We loved being by the quiet pool. Even in the middle of July when the place was packed, there were not many people in the quiet pool. We had it to ourselves most nights. Of course, the main pool was great, too! This was our first stay at BCV--We'll be back!

We love Beach Club. Beaches and Cream is fun, but don't go if you are really hungry. There is always a long wait.

I have always wanted to stay at the beach club especially for the SAB pool for my two boys but have never been able to fit it into our budget. Now that we are new DVC members, my Christmas wish came true and I was able to book it for our July stay at the 7 month window. I read so many things on this board about how difficult this resort can be to get at 7 months. So, any pictures or helpful hints are truly appreciated. Thanks to all of you for all your advice and tips along the years, I am finally a DVC member and loving it.

I admit I am partial to BCV. Just returned from SSR (wasnt' too thrilled!). BCV is great if you do the parks. You can walk to Epcot and MGM (about 15-20 min) but it really helps with the stress of waiting for bus. Bring you own blow up large rings for the the lasy river, my kids loved it. They rent ones but are expensive. It was great with in-laws. They could stroll to Epcot to Lands and keep them selves busy while raced through the parks. Smaller and feels cozier. Everything in Resort is in walking distance unlike OKW and SSR

If you can plan an early evening meal (between 4:30 and 5:30 or so) B&C is usually not too bad for sit down that time of year. Then stroll over to EPCOT for Illuminations-stroll back to your room-heavenly. :flower:

Storn Among Bay (which is the main pool) is located infront of the hotel part of the Beach Club. You are going to have a shorter walk to the quiet pool than you are SAB. I would suggest that if you don't want your mom to walk far that you request a room near the elvators. We were in room 410 (1br) and once you came out of the elevator we were only a couple of doors down. Just so you know the area where the elevators are is a large area and the rooms (in my opinion) are well removed from any noise that would be caused by people getting on or off of the elevator.

Check out this website created by DisZip http://www.parkinfo2go.com/dvc-bcv/ the site is great for checking out the layout of BCV.
