Beach club villas and early check in

Question - My wife and I plan on ariving early and checking in early at the Beach Club Villas on Sat. While we are waiting for our room - will we be able to use the Stormalong Bay (sp?) pool? -Steve

When you check-in, you will get your resort ID which you can use to enter SAB.

How can you get a resort ID if you are not formally checked-in? Can you check in, get an ID and be waiting for a room to be ready?.....

Beach Club Villas are a DVC property. When you check in the desk will already have your room assigned. If it is not ready the desk will give you a phone number to call at 4:00pm. When you call the phone number and give them a password they will tell you your room number. So yes, you can check in, check you lougage with the bell man, and go swimm at SAB. You room cards will already be set up with your room number, you just won't know what it is until 4:00pm.

just a few weeks ago (sigh)......
we arrived at BCV (using DVC points) at 11AM, and there were no 1 BD's available yet, so we got our room cards.........
went to lunch, called at 1PM (still not available), went to AK, called at 2:30 (still not available), walked around, called at 4PM ~ room available (you are given a card with the # to call from any phone within WDW property, or from a non-WDW phone; no password, you just give your name & they give you the room #) ~ thank goodness for cell phones!
the resort cards will not open a resort room door until a room is assigned, but are good for SAB, etc upon receipt. (we used one at the quiet pool cabana).

BCV is now using a room ready policy. Theyw ill give you an available room at checkin, if you want, even if it doesn't meet your requests. I checked in a noon 2 weeks ago. It was sure nice. i'm pretty sure the only reason the room was ready is I had packed the bathing suites in the carry-on figuring we couldn't get in yet
