We are staying at BC villas next May! We are getting two studios. One room will have 4 people and the other will have 5. How are the size of the rooms? Will the room with 5 of us have plenty of sleeping space? I know they recently refurbed these rooms. Has anyone stayed since the refurb?
Sorry for so many questions. We have never stayed at this resort or in a studio villa.

Hopefully you have smaller children in the villas and not full grown people. It's one room with a queen bed, double sleeper sofa and a bunk sized murphy bed. Also, if you are one family, you'll need to split up the adults (18 or older) into the two rooms since they will not connect. Personally, I would never put four larger people in a studio unless it was just for a night or two. With the sleeper sofa opened up and the murphy bed down, there is almost no room to walk. Studios are more comfortable with two adults and one child or two adults and two smaller children. They were never intended to house five people.

The refurbishment has basically removed all the theming from the villa and left you with a standard Hampton Inn hotel room.

I would never do 5 in a Studio. Way too tight. Even 4 is tight.
When DH and I take our adult DS we get a 1 bedroom

A BCV Studio is 356 square feet. Once you pull out the sofa bed, there is not a lot of space to move around. A LOT of the space is the foyer and kitchenette.

By comparison, a Beach Club standard hotel unit is 380+ square feet, and doesn't spend as much space on the entry, no kitchenette.

You definitely feel the 30 square feet and layout.

I went on a girls trip and 4 adult women stayed in a studio at BC with no issue. It worked out really well that two were morning shower types and two were night showering girls. We really had no issues with space, but we spent very little awake time in the room.

room one will have four people... 1 adult, 18 year old, 14 year old, and a 5 year old.
room two will have 5 people... 2 adults, 12 year old, 12 year old and a 8 year old.

We spend very little time in our room. We have always stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at Kidani, so this will defiantly be a change for us. We also order groceries from GG and eat breakfast(cereal, waffles, simple foods) in our room and pack lunches for each day. I know I'll have to limit the food I purchase but how much food storage is there? Can I fit a gallon of milk in the mini fridge? Is there a freezer section for a box of waffles?

You do realize that it's possible that the studios will not be near each other, right?. Or maybe not even on the same floor.

And another thought - Kidani -bedroom villas have 3 bathrooms. You will only have 2 bathrooms between the 2 studios. May not be a big deal, especially given the ages of the occupants, but I still would not try to put 5 people in a studio unless they were young children (as in under 10 years of age). The BCV studios were not built to accommodate 5 people. They sacrificed storage space to add that drop down bed. It makes it very difficult to store luggage, clothing and whatnots for that many people.

Have the coffee table removed from the studio when you check in (both studios) and you'll have a bit more room.

Doable? Yes. Comfortable? Only you can decide that when you get there.

All luggage can be by entry way and at lockoff door (plenty of space there). No one can be living out of their suitcases as there isn't much room to spread out in so make sure to use the closet to hang clothes and the small drawers at the Murphy bed for other clothes.

No freezer in the mini fridges.

If you have a gallon, rather than a half gallon, it will use most of the space.
