Beach Club Resort - fastest way to Hollywood Studios?

It seems we can:

1. Take a boat to HS

2. Walk to HS?

3. Take the Epcot skyliner (with one transfer) to HS?

assuming we are planning to travel 1/2 hour after rope drop at HS, what would be the quickest way to HS?

I haven’t taken the skyliner yet. But in our experience, walking is fastest but that’s only if the boat isn’t waiting right there for you ready to go.

Walking is probably fastest because you aren't at the mercy of any lines or waiting. Any of those options would work fine though.

walking is fastest. If you can time the friendship boat to hop aboard at swan/dolphin, you’ll cut out the hottest part of the walk, and there are no more stops, so it goes by pretty quickly. But you’ll beat the boat every time unless you really walk slow.
the lines at the skyliner can be long, and you’ll be back tracking to check them. I’d walk in the morning and take the skyliner back in the evening.

Walking. It really isn’t a bad walk. Especially at night when the lines fit the boat are extremely long.

We do the boat if we have time (and the line isn’t long) and save those steps. We average 10-15 miles a day at Disney. Sometimes more.

All ears just did this experiment. Spoiler, walking won followed closely by the boat. The skyliner was a disaster but now that they are boarding more than one party it may have helped.

If you were going midday skyliner might be fastest—when there is no wait to CBR yo transfer it is super quick. There would still be a wait to transfer 30 mins after opening though, so definitely walk or boat.

Personally I would do the boat. Would recommend walking if you wanted to rope drop as the boat doesn’t start running early enough to be near front of rope drop pack. But after opening, why kill your feet on top of all the other walking you have to do at WDW for a negligible difference (5 mins) in transit time?

perfect! We ended up walking, it’s a nice walk since it wasn’t too hot; and skyliner back sounds perfect, as we won’t be trying to meet a schedule. Thanks!

So, 20 minutes, HS to Epcot via Skyliner, with no lines, then a quick walk to beach club…I love it!

Walking almost every time will beat out the boat and skyliner unless you are an usually slow walker. We usually walk to DHS and skyliner or boat back for a break.
