The last time we visited Universal was 2008 but when we go we have 3 favourite restaurants - Hard Rock Cafe, Bubba Gumps and Margarittaville. As we are going for 3 nights, it made sense to eat at all 3 but DH is saying that one evening, he just wants to come back from the park and chill round the pool - which we rarely seem to do as we are always rushing around. It seems a good idea to check out the restaurant at our own pool HRH is it really busy after the park closes and what is the food like? I have found a menu on All Ears and it would satisfy all of us. Which out of our 3 favourites would you drop? Are we missing your favourite restaurant - we always seem to go for the same - the only other one we have tried is Pastamore and Jakes at RPR (because we ususally stay at RPR)

I'd drop Bubba Gumps. I also suggest you try NBA City instead of Hard Rock. It has been getting fantastic reviews from people here lately.

DH was just talking about NBA today - might give it a whirl - just not sure about the theming for us Brits - I don't even know what sport it is - I would guess basketball??

Don't drop any, do what we do. We end up taking a break to swim at HRH and eat at Beach Club for lunch. I love the grilled chicken sandwich. :thumbsup2

We did this three of the 7 days over Memorial Day weekend.

The Beach Club restaurant was TERRIBLE. 2 of us got sick!! Also terrible service and they add on 20% or so on the bill without telling you.Go anywhere else.

Sorry for your trouble. I cannot tell you how many times we have eaten there and have never had a problem. You can get sick anywhere. We have gotten sick at places but that does not stop us from returning.

I think it's 18% and that's at all three hotels poolside service or restaurant poolside. Even if you go to the bar and get your own drink they add the tip, just like on cruises.
