Hi everyone, I will staying at the BC for my honeymoon. We leave next week and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about staying at the BC. Best locations, if you enjoyed your stay, etc.

All comments welcome!!! :cool1:

My family and I have stayed at the BC and YC and they are tie for our favorite resort with the POLY. SAB pool is great. We loved the lazy river and water slide. Yachtsman steakhouse is excellent, definitely have a meal there. Say hi to the lobby greeter Art. He is the best welcome you can get anywhere. Definitely get a room with a view of the lake and boardwalk. If you can afford a room on the concierge floor, I highly recommend it. Take a stroll around the lake at night, it's very romantic. Congratulations and enjoy your stay. :teeth:

Ditto to the above post, and if a full balcony is important to you, be sure to state that as a preference. Here's hoping your honeymoon is MAGICAL! :wizard: :love2:

Maybe we'll see you there! Our counters are almost identical btw. We'll be at the Ycht Club, first time there. I've heard that parts of Stormalong Bay are closed for refurbishment (ie. the slide) but I don't think that'll matter too much to you guys ;)

We went to the BC on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! I have a hard time trying to make ressies for anywhere else! We have our DS to prove what a magical trip it was.... Hope you enjoy your trip as much as we did!

We just returned from the BC.
You didn't say which catagory you booked. Garden or water view?
Could you spring for an upgrade to concierge? That would be magical!

I'd request a full balcony.
Also, most of stormalong Bay is undergoing refurbishment and is closed. They do still have the quiet pool open and the hot tub next to it.

The Yachtsman is an excellent restaurant. Make sure you have a PS.

Have a wonderful honeymoon!!

I only have a standard...views aren't that important to me. SAB being closed is OK too, it is still a little too chilly to swim! THanks for all the input!

Not too much longer!!!!

I'd also let them know in advance that it's your honeymoon!
You never know. You may get dusted with pixiedust!!

I asked the CM who booked my ressi to add it to the comments. Shoue I fax a request as well, or do you think that is redundent? :listen:

Definitely make certain that you mention it's your honeymoon every chance you get. At Restaurants especially. We stayed at YC on our honeymoon, and ended up with free champagne and dessert at a couple.

I'm going to echo some of the other posts in stating that you should put a "full" balcony in your requests if you want to sit out at night. Alot of the balconies at BC are rather small.

Even though Epcot and MGM are walking distance, I'd suggest taking the boat at least once. Coming back from the parks at night cruising on the lagoon is a spectacular site. I'd suggest not waiting until park closing to do this, however. The boats can get pretty packed at that point. You might also want to try and rent your own and do some "private" boating on Crescent Lake. That was the one thing I wished we had done.

Whatever you decide, just remember you're going to be in the most magical place on Earth. Enjoy and Congratulations!!! :)

We stayed there for our honeymoon and had a fantastic time. We were on the 4th floor with a waterview room (although we paid for standard we were upgraded b/c of our honeymoon). I think the room number may have been 478 or 473 (not quite sure) anyway, the room was fabulous!! There was a King bed, a wet bar and a full balcony. It was really close to the quiet pool and only steps away from EPCOT. If I were you I would request a room closeto EPCOT with a full balcony. Make sure to tell them you're on your honeymoon!

Good Luck and Have fun!

I read about the wet bar...is there an extra fee for this. I know some hotles will charge you for what you eat or drink out of the mini-bar...is this right or is it included?

O thought so, but I couldn't find anywhere that stated that. Thanks!
