How does one navigate LP? To the resorts

Based on your quote it sounds like you are booked in the deluxe room. I was going to stay here but ended up booking YC. What I didn't like is you have to walk to the main elevators to get to the 5th fl the one nearest to you (your on the corner of the quiet pool) only goes to the 4th. I pm'd you pictures of the room.

OCD=Obsessive Compulsive Disorder when it comes to me planning trips .

To navigate LP to the resorts, if you are on their home page, click on the "hotels" link. You don't have to use the drop down menu that's provided. When you've done this, take a look on the left hand side of the page. You'll see more links for Deluxe, Moderates, Values, Vacation Club. If you run your mouse over those links, a drop down menu will appear listing all the hotels in that category. Just click on the one that you want to see. I hope that helps.

OK , I called the IPO folks this morning and spoke with a wonderful CM who explained the room details to me.

My TA was booking a "deluxe" room, they are located on floors 1-4. These rooms have concierge privledges. Apparently GS had explained it differently to my TA.

I explained our needs and the CM said "to just request a concierge room with water view, that will place you on the fifth floor and you will end up with a pool or lagoon view".
So I am hoping that I can request a lagoon view through the IPO folks.

Not to confuse things but why pay the extra for a deluxe room? Just book garden view or water view concierge & you will definitely be on the 5th floor.

Yes, that's exactly what I thought you were booking, deluxe room on a lower floor, but access to the lounge and staff via the elevator to the 5th floor. Looking at the rates though, a lagoon view concierge room is a little more expensive than a deluxe room. My guess is that you'll be paying for the view and the convenience of having a room on the 5th floor.

Aren't the IPO staff great? They are terrific to work with. When we stayed at the YC in December, we had a situation arise and the on site staff was reluctant to help out. I still had the number for the pre-planning department, so I called them and within minutes, the situation was resolved. Excellent service.

Will the proximity to the marina be a problem for you though? I know you had mentioned wanting to be close. When we were at the YC, the backside of the lobby walked right out to the marina. I think both resorts are the same price, so if the location is a priority for you, the YC would be closer by a few minutes.
