Where are they located? I am praying that there will be some close to the boat dock at the Yacht Club or in the area of the Cape May Cafe.
I have not been able to find enough pictures and info regarding the concierge rooms and locations. Are these rooms called "deluxe concierge"?
Any and help is appreciated as usual, thanks.

They are all located on the fifth floor. I actually want to think that the entire fifth floor is concierge.

None of the rooms are anywhere near the marina or Cape May.

Anne

Thanks Tammi...

Ducklite- would you happen to know what section on the fifth floor they are located? My TA says she booked me a "Deluxe Concierge room", any idea if this means lagoon view or what?

I found this information on the BC/YC FAQ thread here on the DIS,

There are two types of Junior Suites…er…Deluxe Rooms at the Beach Club. Rooms 1557, 2557, 3557 and 4557 are considered 'type A'’s…1557 has they're really big Water View rooms with two Queen-size beds, sofa and chairs, dining table, TV armoire, dresser and full bathroom just like a standard room. 1557 has an outdoor patio, 2557 has a full balcony, 3557 has a standing-room balcony, and 4557 has a full balcony.

NEWS FLASH! ...i just found out from Disney that the King junior suites have 2 daybeds!!!! Just picture an extra daybed in the bedroom.

In 'Type B' Suites, french doors separate a cozy living room with a daybed from the waterfront King master bedroom, which also has a daybed in it. There are a walk-in closet and standing-room balcony off the living room. The room numbers are: 1501, 1647, 2501, 2647, 3501, 3647 and 4647.

You should be able to take the room numbers and find them on the floor plan link that I sent you. It appears that none of them are actually on the 5th floor. Of course the DIS'er who set up the YC/BC FAQ thread has not been around for any updates, so this could be outdated information. Hopefully Anne has something more current and I'll keep an eye out.

Hi Tammi,
I just finished studying the maps on the link you posted. Looks like the fifth floor is over Cape May and the front desk area, etc.(opposite the front entrance). I asked for a lagoon view concierge room and my TA said the CM referred to it as a "deluxe concierge room" what ever that means. It seems any of the info I have come across on the internet is outdated and lacking. Wonder why there isnt more available on the internet. I figured this resort would be a favorite with many.
I appreciate your help!

I found this description in the Luxury Guide:

Water-view Deluxe Rooms, at 533 square feet, offer two queen beds in an extra-large bedroom as well as a separate sitting room with daybed and reading chairs.

Sounds like it will be one of the Type A rooms, 1557, 2557, 3557 and 4557. Based on the map, you'll be closer to the quiet pool. I don't think that you'll be much more than a 4 or 5 minute walk to the marina. I've looked on the few sites that have room pictures, but they don't have any of this style.

:confused3 I don't know what the CM means. Even on the concierge level, they do offer standard rooms or deluxe (which are usually bigger and might possibly be on another floor). Maybe the CM was confused. Can you tell by the rate you got:

Deluxe Room $465(Value) $525(Regular 4/17-7/4 & 10/5-11/26) $595(Peak 2/17-4/16) $660(Holiday 12/20-12/31)

Concierge, Lagoon View $480(Value) $545(Regular 4/17-7/4 & 10/5-11/26) $610 (Peak 2/17-4/16) $675 (Holiday 12/20-12/31)

Well I know this much, I am staying concierge. My TA says the "deluxe" refers to a guaranteed "lagoon" view , not a pool view. :confused3 It would be great If I ended up with an actual "deluxe room" in concierge. I have it booked with a AAA rate @ $440.43 and we are hoping that an AP rate will become available as we get closer and my TA will adjust accordingly.
I just dont want "Murphy's Law" (no, not Dan :earboy2: ) to come into this.
My Ta also said that concierge is on floors 1-4,....that doesnt sound correct , so I asked her to call the BC concierge directly and get it straight from them. I will post what we learn.

Oh BTW...I just edited this post..we are going during value- Dec.8-12 and then over to the Polynesian 12- 16 for the remainder of the trip
Mahalo Tammi!

I dont think my TA would mind if I pasted a part of her e-mail here to help us understand this....maybe you'll understand this better than I Tammi.

the difference between
that "Deluxe Concierge", and "Water View Concierge".

Deluxe is a *guaranteed view of Crescent Lake, which is
what I think you wanted. Waterview only means pool
view, with a possibility of lake view, but not
guaranteed.

As far as the floor levels, I'm not sure who told you
about the 5th floor, but I did check twice and was
advised they are floors 1 through 4. I'll do a little
more investigating, but I did make sure to put in that
you wanted to be nearest the boat launch.

So what do you make of this?

I'm sure you'll get it straightened out, but your TA is making me a little bit nervous :worried: . I've never heard the term "deluxe" to mean a standard concierge room with a guaranteed lagoon view. She's not correct about concierge being on floors 1-4, it makes up all of floor 5. The water view deluxe rooms however appear to total 4 in number and they are located in the same location on floors 1-4. Maybe that's where the confusion is. If you have a reservation in the system, you can deal with pre-planning directly, you don't have to go through your TA to speak with them. In fact, the group of ladies that work in that department are the best on site. Here's the direct e-mail address, WDW.YBBW.Concierge@disney.com . I've had the pleasure of working with Alana, Amy & Angie. You are in excellent hands.

Please let me know, you've got me hooked on how it turns out.

I may be completely wrong and there could be some hidden TA jargon in here, but the standard rooms, all found on floors 1-4 have a choice of "standard view" or "water/pool view". The regular concierge rooms, all found on the 5th floor, have a choice of "garden view" or "lagoon view". You pay for the view you want. They are not called deluxes. The deluxe rooms are bigger at 533 square feet and there are 4 which have the layout of 2 queen beds, plus a sitting area with the daybed and reading chairs. There is one located on the 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor and 4th floor. That's the information that I've been able to gather. The concierge staff, the lounge and the concierge rooms are all located on the 5th floor. And they, along with the standard guest rooms are 380 square feet.

This is getting interesting. I definitely have to see how it all turns out.

There are two types of concierge rooms, lagoon and garden. At BC there are full , standing (small) and a full balcony that you can only stand on. Water view can be of the pool or part of the lagoon. The rooms get assigned when you check in. You can make a request but no guarantee's. There are some suites on the concierge floor. Tell your TA that you want lagoon view if you want to see water. Some of the BC lagoon rooms are smaller because of the roof lines, you can see them on the 5th floor map. Hope this helps a bit. BC is great and you will like it.

Tammi I have more info to post, as my TA has gotten back to me...bless her heart and yours.

Concierge *Lounge* is on the 5th floor.

For your room category, which is *Deluxe Concierge*,
they are as I had stated, located on Floors 1 through 4
only. You will have to go to the 5th floor to get to
the Lounge, but your room category is definitely not on
the 5th floor, according to Guest Services.

I am told that there may be other *concierge room
types* (i.e., perhaps the Water View Concierge which is
only pool view, or the other lower Garden View category
of Concierge) that may be on the 5th, but yours is
definitely not.

I have also emailed the resorts concierge and will see
what comes back as it relates to how the Floors One
through Four are situated, and will definitely get back
to you when I hear something.

I think you made a great choice spending a few days
there...it's beautiful, relaxing, and has a great pool.
And as for the walk to the launch, trust me, it's not
bad. I think you will be pleasantly surprised,
actually!

Dont think I would want to spend this kind of money to travel to and from an elevator and who knows where else to get to the Concierge Lounge.
Something sounds off, or is this correct.

If you look at that map link I gave you, I'm 99.9% sure that you have one of the rooms numbered 1557, 2557, 3557 or 4557. These are the deluxes, located on floor 1-4, 533 square feet. All in the same area, the corner of the resort, with one portion of the room overlooking the lagoon and the other overlooking the quiet pool area. You will have to use the elevator to get up to the concierge lounge and staff (5th floor), but the plus side is that you'll have a larger room and most likely, a full balcony (only the 3rd floor room has a standing room balcony). If you want the convenience of the 5th floor, you'll have the standard size room of 380 square feet, with some slightly smaller because of the dormer roof. In looking at the resort map, it seems like a majority of the concierge lagoon view rooms do in fact look over the lake. Only two that I saw would have a partial view. If the map is correct, 12 rooms would have a full balcony and 10 would have the smaller dormer balcony.

Because the pre-planning staff works for all the resorts (Yacht Club, Beach Club & Boardwalk), you might want to ask them if perhaps the Yacht Club or Boardwalk might be a better option for you. I can find out for sure, but the Boardwalk deluxes are located on the 4th floor with concierge and some on the 5th floor. By staying here, you could have your lagoon view and Illuminations to boot. Their regular concierge rooms are a little bit bigger too, as is the lounge. The Yacht Club will give you the same basic options as the Beach Club though. The same concierge room size and you can book water view and request lagoon through your pre-planner. The plus would be that you are closer to the marina if that's what you really want.

Yup, just confirmed with another DIS'er that all Boardwalk deluxe concierge rooms face the Boardwalk/Crescent Lake and you can request one of the 4th floor, which is where the concierge lounge and staff are located.

I saw that Allears actually does have some pictures of the deluxe room, so you might want to check it ~ BWI Photos. And another link to some more pics of the lounge and rooms ~ 360 degree views and pictures.

I am beginning to think this is not an actual "deluxe" room ,but a deluxe view , meaning lake, not pool.

Nope, I meant that if you were interested in looking at the Boardwalk instead, all their deluxe concierge rooms (bigger in size to a standard concierge room) have boardwalk/crescent lake views and they can be on the same floor as the Boardwalk concierge lounge (which is the 4th floor). The picture links I sent were all for the Boardwalk.

I'm sure that you have a deluxe room booked at the BC (larger 533 square feet). These rooms are located on floors 1-4, but they do come with concierge access. There's nothing called a deluxe view.

Alana or one of the other girls will get back to you when they come into the office tomorrow and then you can find out for sure. This is some mystery!

WOW Tammi, I have been trying to figure out the Laughing Place website for so long. How do you get to all this info from the home page of LP? They dont call me Dopey for nothin'..........Thankyou for the zillioneth time!! :earboy2:

Gary,

It's what I get from being OCD about my Disney vacations. Well, actually all vacations for that matter. I love finding every little detail of information. I know it will come in useful someday for someone. Glad to have helped.
