Beach Club Concierge Check in Question...

DH and I are at the BC on the concierge level at the end of our presidents week stay and I got my confirmation today. Actually I got 3 ??? anyway,

Last year when we stayed BC concierge we got a card key in the mail with the confirmation in order to gain access to the club floor and check in at the concierge desk - it was wonderful. This time I simply got the normal confirmation slip without the key. Can anyone tell me what to expect when we check in? This is a surprise for my dh who has never stayed at the BC or concierge at Disney and I want to kind of WOW him.

FWIW it was a mom's trip and with 3 mom's spitting it CL was very affordable and well worth it, so that's is why I have stayed BL, CL and DH has not.

Hi TJ,

Have you spoken with the girls in the pre-planning department yet? They are typically the ones who send out the welcome packet and make any arrangements that you need. I've worked with Amy, Alana and Angie in the past and they are all terrific. Here is the e-mail address for them, WDW.YBBW.Concierge@disney.com. My December trip was a surprise to my family too. I wowed DH by having a stretch limo pick us up at the airport.

EDITED TO ADD: Almost forget, if it's just you and DH on this trip, make sure to request a king bed with the pre-planners.

Awesome, thanks Tammi. I will send an e-mail tomorrow as a king would be great. Its only two nights so the balcony and location are not so important this time but my 1st priority is non-smoking -that I wish they would still guarantee.

Anyway, we are attending a conference with dh's company at the Omni for 4 nights and then ending with the BC so the limo is out this time. We will arrive in style via the neon I got for 17 per day thanks to mousesavers!!

OT, sorry, but how are you and what's up with skating, anything? My DD's both got silver in the Stoneham BSC. My 8yo just flew from basic 7 to fs 2 so her program is in major rehaul and she is not happy. Happy about the badges btw just not the program change. My shy 10 yo is starting a program to some music from Mulan - oh on topic - and loving it. She is also assisting her coach with the snow plow lessons to do her own volunteer hours and likes that very much. I have also figured out some of the coaches we have "in common".

Anyway thanks for the link it is exactly what I was hoping for.

No problem TJ. You can't beat $17 a day for the rental car, plus you have your independence. Gotta love that.

Congrats on both DD's getting a silver. That is amazing that your younger DD has progressed so quickly. You usually don't see that once they go beyond basics. Good for her! DS is working on learning his dance steps now. He skates with a partner once a week and they are progressing slowly. I'm off to the club now to pick up my DH. I can't believe it, but he's joined an adult skating group. We have so many competitions coming up over the next few months.
