I've stayed away from these Bush threads for a while, but I thought I'd add some things from what I've read in this thread.
Someone mentioned that since we haven't seen any attacks on US soil since 9/11 that somehow that makes us safer. I guess we were also safer between the first terror attack on the towers in 1993 and 9/10/01 ...right? I mean we must have really been on top of things all those years not to be attacked.
If you know how Al Qaeda has attacked US interests in the past, you'd see a pattern, they strike after every few years. Just because we haven't been hit since does not make us one bit safer....ESPECIALLY since all of that money for homeland security must be going to border security right? So dirty bomb material couldn't be snuck in? Oh wait, it just WAS snuck in, from 2 countries!! Thank God it was our trustworthy government doing it and not some terrorists we don't know about.
I guess we can also guarantee that no terrorists could join the mexicans and sneak over the border that way, since they're so secure also, right?
Man, I feel so safe since Bush is protecting us and sending billions of dollars we can't afford to a country that never attacked us. I mean, what else could we do with that money here? not much, only some hurricane relief or something since an ENTIRE REGION was wiped out last year. But I guess they weren't upper class republicans so we don't need to support them.
But those oil rigs and pipelines sure were fixed quickly. Too bad our gas prices are going through the roof again, now it's due to Iran.
Wait, they have nearly nuclear capability, we KNEW this, we have evidence of it and everything, even before the Iraq war started....and North Korea also. What other countries do we need to have nukes to threaten us with?
Bush is now blaming Saddam Hussein for making Iraq "unstable". Wow, blaming a leader who was deposed a few years ago to make an excuse just this week about why things arent going well.
BTW, I'd vote for a McCain/Giuliani ticket...right now if it were possible....anyone but Bush...heck I'd vote for
