A EOS 400d with 70-300 is, should be with me in a couple of days. Today bought a bag, sigma 17-70 and Canon 50mm prime.

First question......what do you think should be my first DSLR picture?

On other photography forums, it is standard practice when you get a new lens to go out and take a picture of a duck.

I think DSC_0001 for every camera I have purchased over the years has been a shot of the freshly unpacked camera box sitting on the floor at my feet.
