Any opinions on whether BOG will loosen up when they go to the Prix Fixe menu this July? We have Free Dining in Sept and there hasn't been an open reservation since I booked in April. I was hoping that they were holding a lot open, because of the change? Hoping maybe something will pop up after the July changeover. Opinions? TIA!

I doubt it. People either know about it now or aren’t paying attention and won’t know until they show up. I would expect there could be more day of waitlist availability though if people walk away from a reservation on the spot because they didn’t know and don’t want to use two credits.

Reservations for the new BOG signature dates opened months ago. Try setting up a touring plans reservation finder. I have one going right now and available dates and times pop up often.

I think at the beginning they will see no difference in the large crowds wanting ADR's. I think in 6 months to a year it will get a lot easier to get in because even by Disney Standards $55 for that meal is highway robbery and the food is just well bad. If I have 2 credits to spend why would I go there when there is Jiko, Yachtman, Citrico's and even Le Celiier to go to? We went in the 1st week of June and while the girls loved the castle its a one and done for them based on the food.

Will the dinner menu change once it goes to 2 credits or will it be same as currently?

I don't think the policy will change once they open. That mistake was made with the breakfast. I agree that once folks go and they find the cost is what it is, there may be more openings available.

they are revamping the menu

no one knows yet how the food will be but I agree that $55 is too little value for 2 credits. You could spend almost that much at most 1TS restaurants and more than that at some of the buffets with packages.

The other issue is there aren’t many adrs available because the parties are going on. Severely limits the number available without a party ticket

No one can, or should, comment on the food until the menu change. Lots of unknowns

I don't know that there will be a big change in ADR availability once it changes to pre-fixe. There are so many that want to eat there currently. The unknown is how many of those are just coming in for a cupcake and a drink to see the inside? Those will stop. There also are so many that have the DDP, that won't worry as much about the change. It may become a little easier to book, but I don't expect a big change. Unless, the review of the food are very bad when it reopens, and we won't know that for over a month.

I would expect to see more ADRs available as people realize the value is not there. I remember when Le Cellier went from 1 to 2 credit for lunch. At 1 credit it was a near impossible ADR to get, not too long after the 2 credits were in place, there were tons of lunch openings. People may not be totally aware of the change, so it may take a little time.

I dont know. I think it will still be a tough to get ADR after dinner goes to signature. The new menu may attract a different clientele keeping that dinner ADR a tough one to get.
Either way, it will be interesting to see how it ends up.

Anything is possible. You are right in that the new menu in itself may be enough of a draw to keep the demand high. I don't recall LC making a menu change (or at least minimal) when they went from 1 to 2 credits.

I think it will take a little time but it will slow down. I love dinner here, but I’m not about to pay $55 for a pre fixe meal here. We dined here in May for one last time before the change and it’s unlikely we will be back. I can’t imagine we’d be the only ones who feel the same.

I wish I could see a menu. My 180 days is next week for my Jan trip and I don't want to book it, if I won't enjoy it. It's hard to make these decision with no information. Oh...well....I guess it's a 'good' problem to have.

If you have any inclination whatsoever to eat there, book it at 180. You can always cancel it if the reviews don’t sound good, but it will be extremely difficult to get an ADR if you develop an urge to go.

Personally, I don’t see the demand for ADRs decreasing any time soon. It could be years before people start seeing that it’s not worth 2 TS credits. I think the dinner at LeCellier is still riding on its 1 TS credit reputation.

Also, I bet that $55 price tag doesn’t last long if for no other reason than to keep it in line with the pricing of other 2 TS credit restaurant.

The appetizer and entree selections on the menu above are appealing to me, but that dessert is not. All the French pastries and desserts that exist, yet that’s the best they can offer? I can see the toddlers in my family being impressed with it, but not any of us adults.

Book it and cancel if you don't like what you see. nearly impossible to do it in the other direction! You'll have info way before.

I think what this WILL do is put a TON more pressure on lunch ADRs. It's the only decent value left there with breakfast being overpriced and price fixe mock signature dinner.
