As I write this from inside the restaurant I'm so disappointed in the food!! I had a French onion soup and a lemon meringue cupcake and they both fell short on taste. I've been waiting months to come in here, and while I almost cried from excitement at how beautiful it is in here, I don't know if I'll be coming back any time soon to eat. Any other recommendations on The Be Our Guest menu??

I have not heard the best of reviews on the food and even heard lunch was better. My main reason to come is for the decor and not the food so I am not expecting much and hopefully will be pleasantly surprised.

I would have been fine for lunch but grown daughter reallllly wanted dinner and guess what! I just got a reservation an hour ago! It is for Wednesday. Yes thats close and why I was able to get it. I had gotten an email reminding me that I would have to pay cancellation fee on Ohana on Tuesday if I wanted to cancel (which I didn't) Which got me thinking that others were getting emails about BOG and some would cancel and sure enough. So hang in there people; keep trying as I have a couple of times a day. And I believe your best chance is few days before.

My thoughts exactly. We are going for dinner in a few weeks. None of the entrees that I can eat look appealing really...I have to stay away from tomatoes and anything acidic, so that rules out the new chicken dish, and steak never sits well with me? I am thinking about just getting the potato leek soup and green salad from the appetizer menu. I love desserts but even the cupcakes don't look as good as some of the other sweets I have seen around the World.

We just had dinner there last week.....glad we went, won't go back for dinner. Beautiful inside, food was just ok!

I got the French onion soup and it was just hot water with melted cheese on top ::sad::

We were there on July 27 and felt the same way! Great place to look and meeting the beast was fun, but the food is not up to par for the price! I was hoping the kitchen just had a bad night, but I have read too many bad reviews now. If we go there again it will only be for lunch! I can think of too many other better places to eat!

Sorry you didn't enjoy your meal. We ha a fantastic dinner there in May and are very much looking forward to another dinner in Nov.

What didn't you like about the soup if you don't mind me asking?

How strange! The soup during lunch was SO good! Very flavourful & tons of onion goodies in it. The cheese/bread topper was fairly generic though. Way too much so it was kind of a blob though they did get the crisp on the top right! I have had lunch here twice and was so happy I got a dinner reservation in January but the dish I was the most intrigued by looks small and... well... cafeteriaish! Did anyone in your party happen to get the puff pasty with shrimp and scallops? Are those REALLY canned mushrooms & is it quite small for $26?

It looked great when they brought it to my table, but once I got through all the cheese the "broth" was so bland it was like drinking hot water with onions in it. I didn't expect top quality dishes, but at least something like paneer bread? Their soups are great! And still fast-food like. Also the cupcake is not brought out with all the garnishes like in the picture and it wasn't that great either!

Maybe I just had a bad day but I see tons of bad reviews ): and no we didn't get that plate.

Sorry the broth was lacking. Mine was very good but I could definitely tell it was vegetable broth based and not beef. Panera bread does have some yummy soups! Our local Costco sells them in two packs. Perfect for a winter meal with a side salad or sandwich.

I had it Monday and liked it. It was more than enough for me and I thought it was good. Although I can't comment on the mushrooms since I had them hold them
I also had the French onion soup and I thought it was pretty good.

How sad that it didn't live up to the hype for you! Maybe if you try something else next time you'll enjoy it more. I have read that the French onion soup just isn't that good there. :confused3

We are going to try lunch here in November as dinner is already completely booked. Hope we don't find it too busy at lunchtime.

My DD and I went for lunch yesterday at 12:30. I had planned on getting there earlier or later but it didn't work out. I was surprised that it was just a 20 minute wait. It was so hot so it felt like much longer. The CM's monitoring the line were great and had ice water and golf umbrellas for everyone to keep people cool in the line.

The restaurant is beautiful. Sitting by the window is a great view of the restaurant, snow and is fairly isolated and quieter. The food's not great. I've had the pork meal (too salty and heavy for me) and tried the turkey sandwich (not bad) but this time we found no meal we would want so we ordered lighter. We had onion soup, potato leek soup, and a chocolate, strawberry and lemon meringue cupcake. The onion soup was sadly terrible. It was flavorless hot water with a good deal of soggy bread and unmelted cheese. We both love onion soup, tried one spoonful and didn't go back. The potato leek was good. The chocolate cupcake was rich but very good. The other two cupcakes really not great. I've learned it's not about the food. I think everyone should see the new castle. We loved the experience but will not be going back to eat there again. Twice was enough.

Boy am I happy to read this - not that you all didn't enjoy the food but I thought I was missing on a dinner ADR and when I had decided to do lunch. Now I am thinking this could be a hit or miss thing. So have left it on the lunch schedule and am prepared to have mediocre food but to be sure to check out the ambiance. Thanks!
