Be Our Guest with a toddler under 3

No. Price fixe is your only option. Okay, option is the wrong word. There is zero á la carte pricing at Be Out Guest dinner.

CRT is prix fixe and they bring children under 3 a free infant meal. Children 3+ must do the kids prix fixe menu as you would expect. BOG may do the infant meal too for under 3s, but I have not seen reports about it. Just wanted to note that another prix fixe restaurant offers a free infant meal that is not advertised, listed on the menu or really mentioned very often.

I also haven't encountered this situation at BOG. I have eaten at CRT a many times with a 2 year old (different two year olds). They have always brought out a meal for our two year old without us even asking.

This has been our experience with under 3s at CRT also. Wondering if BOG does the same.

This has also been my experience with Alershus dinner and the Bon Voyage breakfast at the Boardwalk. My twins were each given their own meal at these restaurants free of charge.

I am taking twin two year olds to Be Our Guest for dinner at the end of the month and will try and remember to report back what our experience is. I have been wondering the same thing about this meal as well as the new Snow White meal.

I’m going to eat at BOG for breakfast when we are down and I plan to share my food with my 20 month old (so almost 2). He eats far more then his sister did at that age so I’ll also probaby bring something in for him as well (it’s breakfast so Cheerios in a baggie most likely).

Regarding the food not being hot, most kids eat food after it is cooled to room temperature (at least mine do, at that age I’m more worried about them burning themselves on the food then it being piping hot) so if you want to bring in Mac and cheese that would probably work as well - and more importantly you know what your son eats, If that’s Mac and cheese great! and as others have said no one should care. If an adult was doing that for themselves that would be rather odd but bringing it in for a child that’s 2, seriously who cares.

Thank you! We are going with an almost-18-month-old and I was wondering if they would object to my bringing her some outside food.
Did you put your 20-month-old on your BOG ADR? Our travel agent said we didn't need to, but then I read here that she needs her own reservation even if she isn't eating. When I called to get an answer, the guy on the phone said to try, but if I couldn't not to worry about it. Just wondering what the chances are that we will be turned away for an 8:50 reservation if she isn't on it (or if they will let her into the park with us!)

I felt frustrated for you when reading your post because your TA doesn’t have a clue & is going to cause you unnecessary stress. I find that really unacceptable. Sorry you have to deal with such an incompetent person, especially when that person should be the one making your trip easier.

Yes, your baby should have been included on your ADRs. That said, they are probably not going to turn you away. The more likely issue is that you could potentially have to wait longer because they might need to reassign your family to a larger table in order to accommodate a high chair for your daughter. And, it would really stink if they were, for whatever reason, unable to accept an additional person at that time. Do try to change whatever ADRs you can.

You will never have an issue bringing her into the park.

Ugh. One of the most frustrating things is TAs giving out info that can cause so many problems. Yes, you must include every person on your ADRs, no matter how small. Disney goes by heads, not by chairs, so even if you are holding a baby they need to account for that tiny person.

If you have other ADRs please try to add your daughter on to them. Disney won't turn away a guest if they can help it, but you never know.

Not sure if there is a peanut allergy---but perhaps grabbing a PBJ (they are uncrustables) from the QS place on the way over to the Castle for your toddler might be an option. It would be fine sitting out, doesn't need to be reheated and is easy to stash in a diaper bag/back pack. I know at that age it was easier to make it through the meal with my toddler eating when we ate, so that they would sit still.

We went to several Character meals and other expensive meals when our DD was under 3. Every single time they gave her food for free. No questions asked, they just asked us what she would like and bought it out.
Also, we took a sandwich a few times and they even gave her a plate to put it on.
When they are that little, they give a lot of leeway to the kids.

There’s a Facebook group I am a part of and someone on there took their two year old to Storybook dining at Artist Point. The two year old was given a complimentary kids appetizer and buttered pasta. Just wanted to share this as there have been very few first hand experiences with this at this restaurant or BOG. With the similarities of how these two restaurants are set up with the prix fixed menu I’m having faith that it’ll be the same at BOG.

Yes, as I said in my earlier post every single character meal we did they gave our DD a meal that was “on the mouse” this happened 6 times.
I’m sure they will offer your LO a meal but I’d bring along a sandwich or similar just in case.

They have always brought out a meal for our two year old without us even asking. They usually just brought the same thing the other kid was having. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case there. I wouldn't expect it though so maybe have a plan going in. Do the quick service option or just order something he will eat and share.

Just to wanted to say that I took my family...DH, myself, 9 year old son, and twin 2 year olds to CRT breakfast in 2015. The 2 year olds were offered a drink but NOTHING else. I practically had to beg for an extra blueberry muffin (we only got one in our pastry basket and I knew there would be a fight over the Mickey muffin). We found the adult portions not really enough to share and the kid portion for a 9 year old, definitely not, so everyone was hungry.

Anyway, you just can't count that everyone gets brought anything extra for 2 year olds, IME

I so do appreciate your response. And I apologize if posting about someone else's experience at Artist Point offended you. I just wasn't sure what specific resturant you had attended, I probably should have asked. The buffets seem to be very straight forward with this policy but in my months of searching for specific first hand accounts of BOG dinner and Artist Point with under 3 year olds I have pretty much found nothing. Would you mine telling us the restaurants you went to? Thanks!

That's such a bummer about your experience. The portions aren't the greatest there so I can't imagine trying to feed my twins off of my plate. And with twins one muffin just won't cut it.

I have taken my twins to the World three times now and every time we have done a prix fix meal (we've done CRT, Akershus dinner, and Bon Voyage) I kind of play stupid and ask the waiter/waitress "How does this work for under 3 year olds?" and I point to my twins. And every time they have told me that I can order them a meal off the kids menu free of charge. Just want to point this out for others to try who may be in a similar situation.

Oh in no way was I offended! Sorry if my post came off that way, that's not at all how I intended it. Sorry about that!
We went to Bon Voyage Breakfast, Crystal Palace, Cape May Cafe, Tusker House, Chef Mickeys and Be Our Guest (before it was the new fixed menu)
All of these places gave our 19month old a meal of our choice and never charged us.
